How do I DL the Crimson map pack for free? I went into Halo 4, XBL Marketplace, and it said 800 msp? Help? I want the map pack badly. (Don’t hate me because I posted this Please.)

Loaded up H4.
Clicked XBL Marketplace.
DLC appeared with the map pack to download for 0 points. (Nothing else)
You had to have redeemed the specilization code from your email (if you got one) to be able to get this download for free. Double checked it with my brothers accounts.
You need the Halo 4 Specialization Priority Alpha to download it.
If you used the code and activated it online(in a web browser not in Dashboard), you need to go into your download history and download it again.
Then go to the in game marketplace and it will prompt you to download it for a whoppin’ 0 microsoft points.
I got the Map Pack free.
I didn’t have any kind of code and neither did my buddy. We both downloaded through the in game marketplace.

you have to have the pass to get it ‘free’ which is downloaded in the in-game market place, some people got it for free who dont have the pass because 343 had some problems yesturday fixed it and for a brief time it came up for EVERYONE or some people as free even without the pass so some people sneak that out but it has been fixed so unless you have pass, you have to buy it but id advice gettin the pass and you get 2 helmets and an emblem and it works out cheaper then buying them seperate
OP, if you received the H4 specialization code from XBL make sure that code has been redeemed first. If you just redeemed your Specialization code, next you should restart your Xbox. Now insert H4, choose XBL Marketplace from within the game menu and the option to download the Crimson map packs should pop right up. If it doesn’t work, keep restarting your Xbox.
This free download only applies to those who bought LE or those who played H4 and received the Specialization Code.
I downloaded these maps last night as of 9:30pm (PST).
By the way 343, whether it was you or Microsoft that messed up this DLC launch - thank you. This saved $10.00. So far I’ve only played Shatter but it was fun. Why players are still choosing Exile when new maps are available is silly, but whatever I has free maps.
So its impossible without Spec code? Uggghhhhh
