I bought the limited edition HALO 4 console and it came with the standard version only? I don’t understand how if I spend almost $400 on a new console i only get the map pack for 14 days but is someone spends $100 dollars for the limited edition disc they get to keepthe map pack for free for ever. Doesn’t seem fair that I now have to spend more money to get the map pack back which will put me over $400 and someone who only spent $100 dollars get to play it with no more out of pocket expense. I am not made out of that much money and I think spending the amount I did for a whole new console should at least at minimum include this map pack for free. I really liked the map pack but sadly will no longer be able to play them as i cannot afford to buy it. Is there anyway you could re-think your policy about not giving the map pack for free to those of us who have already spent so much money.

As a hardcode Halo fan you probably know and meant 343i (right)? Microsoft’s view on the DLC Error was to let us keep it (after acknowledging their error on twitter)
And as far as Bungie go… I remember their post on Bungie forums that pretty much said (to the complaints about reach) We are Bungie, we know better than the halo players and the community and will do as we please with OUR - NOT YOUR game…
So please don’t kid yourself - Bungie were no better than 343i - its just they didn’t make quite as many mistakes in the first launch!
Having cleared that up for you… I do understand your frustrations. I spent about 30-40 hours playing halo3 a week [I enjoy sleeping since its demise ;0] but I realise (when I nearly bought BLOPS 2 the other day) that I wont be with Halo 4 much longer

This is true to some extent… But Activision did play a big role in Bungie not Fixing Halo Reach.

Well I unlocked the achievements before “trial” ended so. I am not purchasing them. Not being nasty or anything but it was not work the money maps were whatever to me. Only way I will buy it is if my friends really wanted me to so I can play with them.
OK let me get this straight, you get buy the map pass from the store, enter the code from your purchase, get 2000 Microsoft points, and then you use these points to purchase the map pass online?
if so what was the code for? was it to download the option of purchasing the map pass, only accessible by purchasing it at the store?

I would assume in that situation the code was to give you the 2000 points, no?

Dude, the map pack is 10 bucks. If you can’t afford to pay 10 bucks for it, then you shouldn’t have bought all that other stuff. maybe if you save five dollars each month, you can buy it after two months.
343 What have you done, build your name then make money. Don’t just just say screw you give me more money. Show us some respect. I waited so long dreaming about Halo 4, just waiting for release, not looking into the gameplay to much, to be in aww when I played it. There are no words to show how disappointed I am in your company I take back all the times I said screw you Bungie when mad at Halo 3.

Listen, this game is my hobby. Its the only thing i really “play” or at least play with in between owning my own business and raising children. I have played Halo since I was 20. I have bought every limited edition. Its not the money that upsets me. I’m not missing my rent because 343 STOLE $10 from me. I’m angry because its the principle. you just dont make your most loyal (and business-wise: your most willing to shovel over cash) customers pay double for some thing LIMITED and then you don’t actually LIMIT it.
