Halo’s dying. Half my friends who hate COD and playing it now.
343 has done nothing but let me down. I can’t wait until the halo 4 beta is over, and i can actually buy the full version, again…
“14 day, buy and play?” that right there is any proof a 12 year old could realize that this is BS… no one Bought anything and it wasn’t even 14 days.

I’ve not yet posted anything about anything related to Halo 4, but this is pretty unbelievable. Yes, I did benefit from the mistake, but that is hardly the point to be made. Just incredible to me that they are making customers (read me) pay for their mistake. The sad reality is they can because even as much as people want to say Halo has competition, it doesnt.
Halo had always been the best, and that hope will remain, keeping people like myself who love halo and dont want the hassle of going to COD on board the entire time. It truly is astounding at some of the things I’ve seen 343 do that just literally cannot be explained…not talking about the design or mechanics of the game even. Only explanation I can come up with is what I said before, that Halo does in fact not have any competition, otherwise these things could not happen.

Wow. We got to play it for free. No company allows people to take advantage of large price mistakes like that. Never seen as much b*tching and whining as I have read on this thread. I for one thank 343 for allowing me to demo the maps. I quite enjoyed them and will be getting the map pass here soon.
If they would take responsibility and actually say what the -Yoink!- they did then we wouldn’t be treating them like this
A TRIAL!!! wtf is that!!! and since WHEN?! At first it was complimentry to have because we got the game on release day. now all of a sudden its “Complimentry” whatta hack. hahahha…first thing to piss me off…no thats 2nd…1st thing is WTF do they still have TEAM REGISIDE!!! still in the play list…NO ONE PLAYS THAT CRAP. Are you -Yoinking!- kidding me? Even Microsoft admitted it was “our bad” on twitter and said you won’t get banned. 343 is straight up lying when they say “14 day buy and play” to try and cover it up. It’s funny that they respond to a map pack being free this fast, but never helped anyone with specialization codes, or fix major issues in-game. At least ADMIT THAT YOU SCREWED UP, 343. I call BS on the “trial”. Thanks 343 for the big FU to the whole community. You had made no mention of this being a trial prior to the release of the dlc and when I was able to download it you made NO mention of it again. You look like greedy theives right now

This just scares me for the future,i’ve been a part of this Halo COMMUNITY since 2005 and I KNOW Bungie would never have done this, in fact bugie has given away maps before. I just know given the same scenario, bugie would not make some fake “free trial”. I’m nervous for what the future brings, maybe greed has taken over the halo franchise.

Hi guys I stay in Scotland and couldn’t get any specializations but after two weeks on the waypoint forums I met a kind halo fan who gave me a code which I’m very grateful for. BUT. I got crimson dlc’s for free I just presumed it was a LE code (with season pass) I came on today after update to get my last couple of stomp kills for my last achievment and can’t get into crimson. So i came to waypoint to see if there was a bug and found this page. This is crazy if it wasn’t for the fellow gamer giving me my code I was going to stop playing this halo. This sucks big toes I have the crimson dlc’s on my download history and is says nothing about it being a trial. 343 have No interest in helping people on this forum I was posting everyday two weeks ago and got no response (still waiting) every game should have support this has none what so ever no emails or phone numbers. If it was a trial we should have not been allowed the achivements which I am grateful but it just seems like there pulling lots of dodgey antics.love halo but the shine is wearing away and I only had a couple of kills left there must have been thousands of players got all the achievements so won’t buy crimson now cause they’ve done it all I’m not on much either and I don’t see the point of buying it now that I only have 1 thing to do

This is garbage. You sent me the code via my account, I go through the process to download it, now I’m kicked out?
A trial? I know how to read and that was NEVER said in any communication. Never. It was free apparently for those who were on Xbox Live with Halo 4 during the first 2 weeks of release. The reward was you were letting us have the map pack.
Now I have it and I have to delete in manually before playing online again? This is idiotic. It’s almost as stupid as not releasing with FFA/Rumble Pit or no in game audio options for lowering and or removing audio.
Frankly, stick this map pack. Not a chance in hell I’d pay for it. In fact because of this I doubt I’ll invest another penny in Halo 4.
Way to tick off the community who helped build Halo into something. This is beyond pathetic. 14 day trial!? What a joke. Yank my chain. You think I would have bothered with a “trial” in this way knowing that I had it for a week or two? Not a chance.
They were quick to fix it so the maps don’t work but still have not fixed glitches and other problems with the game like wall glitch in complex and still no good connection filter option. Just goes to show what’s more important it’s the $$$$$$$. that whole trial thing would have worked if you’r clean up crew knew how to count.
I like the fact MS stated that the DLC was a 14 day trial, even though that was never stated anywhere but on this website… and we all know how much of a rule monger MS is… so I call BS on that.
I also like how MS says this is a 14 day trial and I only had these maps for all of 4 days, my friend had them for all of 2 days.

If you haven’t noticed, Halo fas are VERY passionate about this franchise. You are better off just admitting to the error instead of trying to cover it up.
We can smell a lie like a fart in a car, and neither one is liked.
Buck up and fix this, or you will notice a fast decrease in people purchasing this game and playing online. Word of mouth of your product and service carries far and wide, and no amount of advertising will help you sell your games if the consumers are ticked off.
We always listen to our friends way before any company backed advertising and promotions.

I’ve read through all the posts and just don’t get what is going on. I bought the map pass when I bought my game and entered the code then. The administrator’s post said that means I don’t have to do anything extra to continue playing the new maps. But it looks like I don’t have access to them. Are they trying to make me buy them again? Or is there something else I’m supposed to do?
I bought the War Games Map Pass and I’m still getting the Unable to Validate message. What the -Yoinking!- hell 343. That and it basically locked my specializations so I can’t keep ranking up either.
i thought this was free because the pulled some bull with the spec codes but now its official
