Just Purchased and now I have 4 dollars to last 2 days thanks 343. I’m literally hurting to play your map pack. 
I have been a Halo NUT since CE. Downloaded a map pack for free,because the game offered. Looked online, apparently it’s a gift! NOT 14 days later, the trial has ended and my purchase isn’t validated? I am very frustrated and this will affect future purchasing decisions.
You gotta be kidding me, trail? You know damn well that was no trial. Microsoft support even tweeted that it was a screw up. What really happened here is that all the LE and Map Pass people QQ’ed so much that 343i made up some excuse and tried to play it off. You aren’t fooling the people that took advantage of the free download. Now I wont lie I got the maps for free and after playing them I wont spend 800 points on them. Not worth it. This isn’t me raging about the subject this is me calling out the bs, I would have rather had 343i tell me straight up “Hey it’s not fair to the people who bought the LE and Map pass.” Oh and by the way, I didn’t know you get achievements for trails.

I challenge ANYONE that works for either Microsoft, or 343, to explain to me how you haven’t screwed us. I defy you to prove that you havent forced us to pay 28% more than others for maps.

Please Bring King of the hill back soon these maps are complete GARBAGE, and I would like it back. Give me more Classic remakes of maps.

Good to see that they didn’t have any problems removing access to the maps on the day they said they would…pretty much first thing in the morning but they struggled and fat fingered last week when they were releasing the maps. 343=jerkstore.
For the record I have the map pass, I just think 343 are -Yoink!- are pretty scummy.

Microsoft: sells cheap, unreliable crap that breaks halfway thru its life cycle, and then offers terrible customer support. Notorious for unoriginality.
Apple: takes mid grade quality hardware, builds product, slaps apple logo on and then doubles price. Will sue you if you look at them wrong.

Funny how in a sense Halo has, throughout it’s history, been influenced by both Apple and Microsoft. It was originally developed for the Mac after all.
OT: Do those who lost access still have their achievements?
Not surprising they are sticking to the cover-up story and lie about this being a “complimentary access” based on a promotion that no one had ever heard of instead of what it really was - a screw-up that Microsoft is not willing to admit and covering their behind with this cover story to absolve them of any legal liability. Move over EA, you have a challenger for your worst company crown.
How bout you worry about a TU, instead of DLC? This game is sinking faster than the Titanic and it isn’t because people want more maps. You need to get in touch with what is left of the Halo fan-base. The Crimson cover up “trial” is not a good start at all.
Here are a few suggestions:
Get a real TU out… fix the DMR at least
Lift the spec cap
Implement ranks
Participate in your forums
Save yourself from certain death…
They told their story and they are sticking to it. “Free Trial” LOL. Sure guys, whatever you say.
Enjoy the flood of posts from people whose only knowledge of the Crimson DLC was a prompt to press A for the maps at a cost of 0 MS points one fine December morning.
So if I bought the DLC and don’t like it, can I have it removed too?
People are going to be pissed. Good thing I went with the map pass.
I got the Map Pass and rarely ever play the DLC, The playlists are all together, And the maps are meh
Hopefully the next 2 releases are well worth it though

343 is seriously taking us for idiots. Just tell that you messed up with the release and voila! Stop trying to save your face with fake explanation.
PS: 343 cleary don’t care about players’s opinion. We can’t get in touch directly with them and they don’t have their own website.

How about instead of worrying about how much money you lost through this mistake, (well, I guess now you’ll get the money; except most the people won’t buy the maps anyway because they are not worthy of being DLC), you guys come out with a title update that addresses major issues within the game. It’s been 1 1/2ish months and nothing. This is unacceptable.
Is that too hard for you to understand?

Thanks for setting the record straight on the map pack free trial. I paid for the war games pass a week before this whole thing happened. I want to say that I would not have felt like I lost out on anything, I feel the value is subjective. Even if these people kept access that just means more people on the DLC Playlist,it wasn’t like they gave away free war games passes … that would have been a problem for me lol,one free dlc map pack is a trade off for $$ to quality of gameplay, its a no brainer.the access was only given to people that also had the spec codes iirc. I think the people should have kept access to the DLC and in turn the playlist, we didnt lose access to our specializations after 14 days … (don’t get any ideas lol). just my two cents
