Ow wow, you don’t respond to me but you are talking about my way of speaking. Really nice. Shall I talk about your way of speaking? About just responding to what you want to see, while choosing to ignore the parts of which you know you can’t correct. You do realise that you are just making yourself look like an idiot.

But hey, since you can’t seem to see the logic of adressing certain parts I will be putting the rest of this post in your prefered format. And I hope that after seeing this post why I choose to adres one part at a time.

First in your post you blame anonomissx from not purchasing the DLC, you do this after she has confirmed <mark>TWICE</mark> that she has purchased the DLC. Now I’m, quoting exactly what she said:

Now explain to me how the -Yoink- can you still accuse her of not buying the DLC? This just proves the point that I and others have pointed out before that this is not about the money. <mark>It is however about 343i/MS lying</mark> about this being a trial. And you being to blind to not see that!

Second, your gift comparison is faulty. For example if you go to your local shoe store. And you buy a pair of shoes with which you happen to get a shoehorn as a gift. And two days after you purchased the shoes the store manager is at your door. Barging into your home and grabbing the shoehorn. And walking out while mumbling that you where only getting it to try out. Even though no such thing was mention when you purchased the shoes.

Third, software licensing can be done via different routes a couple of them are GPL licensing, BSD licensing, XBL licensing which ever you choose. It is a fact that when you put something on the market place that it goes according to the XBL license. And just for the point whit software purchase you buy the content, you however don’t buy the acces to the source code nor the right of selling it.

Fourth, you are refering to the xbox live terms. Which have nothing and I repeat nothing to do with 343i/MS lying about this so called trial.

Now I certainly do hope that you finally understand that you are barking up the wrong tree here. And please for the love of your so called precious megabytes and posting space stop posting -Yoink-.

I did not say that you missed anything. You called me out by name. I think you have me mixed up with someone else:

I did not get the DLC for free.
I paid for it, and
I did not have trouble with it.

HOWEVER, I did not appreciate Microsoft forcing 343i to lie and say it was a 14 day trial after the fact, as if it was already mentioned. “14 Day - Buy and Play” were not words used ANYWHERE ELSE until people started to download it for free. An obvious lie and cover up, instead of being forthright and stating it is a mistake and we are TURNING IT INTO a 14 day trial, would have gone so much further. Just state the truth and apologize, it would have gone so much better, or just…LIE better.

Well as someone who bought the map pack, for the 800 points it was, I feel robbed since it has little to no use for me. I am still playing the old maps since the CMP is only good for a rotational CTF, Dominion, and Slayer. I personally hate CTF, and Dominion games, and just leave if voted for. Really need a dedicated Slayer for those of us that have the CMP…

It was never advertised for free, yet it was never advertised as a trial either. No where in any publication was it advertised or stated before the fact that it was a trial. Don’t you think that the geniuses at 343/-Yoink!- in a crazy scheme to turn a profit would have actually promoted the “trial” if they did indeed intend for it to be one?

Bottom line is they screwed up which is fine, but then they lied about it and some people ( yourself included) drank the crappy cool-aid they were selling.

Think smarter, not harder.

no that wouldn’t be it because noone gave you the content
its on par with you walking out of the store with a pair of shoes because you didn;t see a price tag

Yes it is correct, you just once again want to see things on your own way. Let me explain it a bit more for you. In the story i described you must see;

The cashier as an XBL server. It is just doing what it was told nothing more nothing less. ( No offence to any cashiers)

And the storemanager as 343i and MS. Who later see that they made an mistake and try to correct it with a lie.

Now how does this example not reflect to the current sitation? Please enlighten me.

Really? You did not read it properly again? How many times is that now? Either way. If you did read my post correctly you would have seen that I also mention that XBL uses it’s own licensing.

GPL doesnt give you the right to own the software that is the creators
nor does it apply to consoles
no license gives you the right to own something that you don’t make

and whats with your analogy

there is no transaction you would’ve had to buy something which you didn’t

You see there is a much simpler solution here than arguing back and forth. You see Microsoft -Yoinked!- up, plain and simple. They could have apologised and admitted their error but instead they lied. Now because 343 is a division of microsoft and so they share the blame. They both lied and are still lying to us; nothing will change that except an apology.

Having played the maps during the trial I still wouldn’t buy the dlc even if they said sorry.

I get called out by name by this person, told I did not pay for the map pack, and told that honesty is the best policy…

I paid for the map pack, I object to the dishonest way that MS and 343i handled this, and an “ambassador” misses the point everyone is trying to make, and insults me.

I downloaded the map pass on Christmas even though the so called “oops” on the marketplace on day 1 allowed for thousands of people to download it for free. Later they decided oh it’s a 14 day complimentary trial! We were just kidding about you nabbing it for free and getting lucky! Just covering our tracks!

Real shady guys… oh well. Have my money, I don’t care. Just don’t pull something like that again.

Overall I’m sure this falls on deaf ears, but since this “joke” went down I haven’t played a match of Halo 4. In fact it hasn’t been in my Xbox console since. Not sure if that is me doing it on purpose or it’s just me getting sick of a few glaring “piss offs” with Halo 4 right out of the gate. If you’re killing me off, that’s an achievement. I’m a Halo nerd. Fading fanboy it seems.
