Yeah 343i, that was definitely on purpose. My friend Jacob got it for free and the first thing he said was “Haha! Look! 343i f***ed up!”
I have Halo 4 LE (therefore the season pass) yet I can no longer play the maps…
What gives?
LE here and after the Crimson map was disabled my LE content is gone 
Bought the limited edition of Halo as well but Crimson maps now do not work. Tried deleting the crimson maps and re-downloading it but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Yup, also have LE and now no longer have the map pack, glad I was a few points short because it wanted to charge me to DL It again!
Delete it from your HDD then it will be available to no cost for the LE people. Not terribly elegant, especially for a closed system like Xbox…anyway with this workaround it is resolved for me.

Then you delete it and follow the warpsss instructions
If you have warpass dont download this
Download from the ingame store
It willl be queued for you…
Season pass users only use the ingame stores most games do it thst way to avoid issues
It still boggles my mind that anyone is still defending MS/343.
First, screwed over everyone who obtained it for free (legitimately) by downloading it from the game menu when prompted. Then they screwed all the people who paid for the map pack by making the dlc unplayable for them and forcing them to look up a fix for a patch that made their purchase unplayable.
For those who say we don’t speak for the majority of Halo players, look at the numbers. Nobody is buying this new map pack. It seems like people are finally starting to wake up and refuse to buy maps that have been done for months and are sitting on a server somewhere waiting to collect money from suckers. Not one person on my friends list has purchased these maps after playing the ‘free trial’.

The very essence of good customer service and relations is to NOT OBVIOUSLY LIE to your customers. Everyone is not really upset all that much about getting something free taken away, it’s the fact that it was LIED about, and expecting them to believe you.
Come now, me and you at 343i are not children. You are functioning adults, and I sincerely hope there is a slimy upper level manager forcing you to do this against your will and better judgement. Because of the way the situation was LIED about, this breaks my trust.

1st it wasnt a 14day trial you are reading the title wrong
It was for the 14day try and buy promotion in november for specializations codes
2nd not everyone was includes on the trial and it was specified that it would end on a specific date
There was no promise of free content regardless

Funny how they have zero problem with the DLC that according to you has the same requirements as the spec codes. While allot of people are without codes who do meet the requirements. Not to mention that unlike the spec codes, the DLC is worldwide.

No, not everyone but allot of people did. And believe me when I say that there where people who player after the 14 day period and still got it for free.

And there was no mention what so ever about a trial, until TWO days after your so called trial was released.

actually lots of people are buying tthe mappack i suggest you LOOK at all the warpass threads complaints about the free trial again you really should look beyond the thread of people doing repeat posts
you do relieze your statement is a contradiction?
if you don’t buy the software it just sits there
but you do not have access to the playlist regardless
you still have to delete it to continue playing and it cannot be used offline
you got it legitimately as a trial
if it was not a trial its not legit as it was not meant to be free
if it was A BUG that is not legitimate purchase in the eyes of the law or the beholder
thats like telling a cop the door was open so it was legit that i stole that tv in the house

If you would have taken the trouble of reading this topic and not only the parts that you want to see. Than you would not have asked this question. This question says more about how you think than it does about me. It also show that you did not take the effort to read my entire post instead you just read a small section, as you seem to be ignoring the rest.

In this topic I count a total of 148 unique forum members. Now take into account that each page has 20 post so 11X20=220 220+the post on this page at the time you posted is 233. So 233 different post posted by 148 unique members. That certainly doesn’t seem like what your claiming.
And yes out of those 233 post most of them are in fact about the lie that 343i chooses to uphold.
And for the next time please check what you are saying instead of just asuming things

a gift (trial) is not a purchase
even if it wasn’t a trial it still not a purchase
that would require exchange of monetary funds and with software you do not own the content you have a license to use the content
they can revoke it at anytime
you may not resell it or modify it
remeber not everything is free in life it was never advertised for free

They do not have to give out free maps( I dont think many people are expecting that). But how hard is it to be honest with a loyal fan base?

if you weren’t expecting it for free why are you here?
maybe you care to tell the thousands of players who paid for the content why you feel that you should get the content free when everyone else paid past the trial period
again you should be gracious that you got to try the content for a short period
some people like warpass people or LE people didn’t get the trial before they paid
some people are actually angry that there was a trial and you guys got the trial while others didn;t
All i want is for them to tell the truth. That a mistake was made and that is why you no longer have access to the maps. I would have downloaded them right away then. But the trial nonsense just does not sit right with me.
But that is just me and everyone is entitled to their own opinion
