Um I bought the map pack pass. Used the code I received in an xbox live message to d/l the crimson maps. Now I don’t have access to the playlist? Luckily I don’t really like the maps, but I want what I paid for. Did other people that PAID for the map pack pass lose the crimson dlc?

if you had followed the warpass instructions you wouldn’t have lost the content
fyi im a LE user and i still have aday one access to warpass content because i followed the instructions from warpass
you delete the content
after you check your login info against the website
then delete profile only
then redownload profile and content
make sure you have infinity essentials
then redownload preferably from the ingame menu or your download history

Same goes for the trial you will not find a post/blog/whatever mentioning anything about a trial from before the incident. The earliest newspost you will find is from 12 december, TWO days after the DLC was released.
You do seem to miss the point of Xo ScOpE oX and of the many others in this thread. Complaining about the rude lie 343i/MS created while almost everyone already knew the truth which. Whereas the truth is confirmed by xbox support.

This is exactly what should be said. I want 343i to be successful but they really need to listen to their community. There’s always going to be those people that will complain no matter what but there have been plenty of legitimate complaints that have gone pretty much ignored.

if you haven’t noticed most posters are repeat posters who post 4-5x
if the majority had an issue with FREE content being given out wouldn’t you think that 343 would be listening to them not the small minority that didn’t pay?

Illegal is still illegal, It does not matter what you sign, if at the core the outcome is illegal then you can sue. If I, for instance, signed a legal notorized document stateing that i was Joe’s slave for the rest of my life, then changed my mind later, I am not legally bound by that contract because slavery is illegal and therfore makes that document invalid. It is the same in the case of our User Agrrement, we may sign away our soul just to play Live, but if Microsoft do something illegal then we are no longer bound by that entire contract and therfore can sue over said illegal actions. Now, that being said, i DO NOT think a lawsuit is the way to go, i think a united front of the gameing community, telling microsoft that they can’t get away with this would be better and FAR more productive than a lawsuit. I have posted on other threads about this and i just get arguments. Let me say this now, this issue should NOT be about whether or not it is free but rather the illegal actions taken by microsoft to cover their mistake so they don’t lose profit. I will never give 343 another dollar. I will continue to play Halo 4 but that is it. All they had to do was admit a mistake was made and have me order again (or let me keep it) but they come out with this 14 day trial nonsense (even though the maps came out 12/10 and were removed 12/18??)(fyi 8 days). I know they were not put in a great position by Microsoft but they could have handled it more professionally.
it also bothers me that a $10 map pack comes out a month after the game but that is another issue.

Are you that slow? Do you not read the whole post, that was in referance to halo 2, not halo 4’s crimson map pack. MICROSOFT CAN NOT REMOVE YOUR ACCESS TO SOMETHING YOU LEGALLY OBTAINED THROUGH XBOX LIVE. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF IT WAS OBTAINED FREE OF CHARGE BECAUSE OF A MISTAKE. OR NOT. IT WAS NOT A GIFT IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. Well, this was a tad disappointing. Of all the ways a company could’ve handled this situation, I don’t believe relabeling it as a “trial” post-launch was the best idea
So, I have had the Map pass installed since the first day of Halo 4. I downloaded the full version of the crimson DLC, and now I have to redownload it…
Is there a fix or do I just redownload and waste precious data?
