Crimson DLC Playlist

The crimson playlist has a undoubtedly low population. I actually prefer playlists that rotate game types (throw in some oddball in there and I’ll be satisfied). Typically I get matched against more competitive players, except Shatter when everyone just betrays for the Mantis for what I’m assuming is because the achievement.

But a main complaint is lack of maps. There is barely any in the main playlists so why would I bother to play crimson DLC to limit myself to a even more pathetic 3 maps? There are no playlists currently than require DLC content like halo 3 had (again why?) so why doesn’t Crimson DLC include all maps in regular playlists + the crimson maps. That way you still get to play on the current maps but be guaranteed a chance to use the DLC maps. So instead of two small separate map libraries for all playlists Crimson would be a much larger selection. It already has a rotation of every game type, if it had every map, I would never leave.

On a side note, does it make anyone else mad Crimson DLC came out just weeks after release? Seems like it was already developed but was left off the retail game just to siphon more money from the community.

And I’m aware crimson maps show up in standard playlists, but only if everyone has the DLC which I’ve seen maybe maybe twice now.

I cant seem to understand how people are only running into the crimson DLC maps only once or twice. For me, nearly every game has one of them as an option, but I guess I play primarily BTB and CTF, but still.

I think the reason the dlc playlist is so low is because you can find the maps in regular rotation on playlists. Why would you want to play a playlist with only 3 maps? The DLC playlist was good when the DLC came out, but now it has passed it’s usefulness. Time to take it out and bring in someone people want to play.

Exactly, only 3 maps is not worth being in the playlist for. It’s just to repetitive. I would be completely happy with a DLC required playlist like we saw in halo 3 even. But I don’t see that in the future.
