Crimson DLC Free?

I just signed in to Halo 4 and selected Xbox live Market place and the Crimson DLC was free is this because i have the map pass or is there something else i should know here?

Its a screw up on microsoft’s end and so many people without the LE or the war games pass got it for free. With the war games pass you get it the map pack for free.

The only way u get it free is if u have bought halo 4 before the 20th of Nov.then it gives it 2u for free and a lot of of other stuff.

Its BS since they didn’t tell those of us who bought the war games map pass in advance. It would have been cheaper to buy the remaining two set for release. I thought this type of business practice was illegal in the US. I was told it would be $5 less to get the map pass than to download them individually. Xbox refers you here regarding the issue, which probably won’t do anything. I’m going to try to get my money back from the retailer, who told me this information.

The only thing that was supposed to be released was the Alpha Priority Specialization code is you played online before the 20th and met some other requirements.

Halo 4 has became 40$ on most retailers now. (Just saw a commercial of it from the microsoft store.)

Feelings of a BF3 premium edition has started to erupt within…

Maybe they secretly gave the alpha code people this for free?

Okay.

When the maps first hit, there was a bug that caused Map Pass owners (LE is included here) not to be able to download them for free (either at first, or at all…not 100% sure). When MS tried to fix the bug, it messed up and caused the maps to be free for everyone.

No bans for free downloads, and no compensation for Map Pass owners seeing as the purchase is final and the maps wont be free forever.

Now about Halo 4 being cheaper…

It’s the friggen holiday season. Microsoft probably lowered the price in order to entice parents to buy the game for their kids. Lower price, sells higher. They are trying to run a business after all.

Except that the 40 is temporary sale that all the major retailers jumped on (because they didn’t want to be the odd one out.) ESRP is still 60 (just had a chat with my local gamestop peeps today. Call it confirmed.)
