My friends and I are currently trying to get the achievements in the Crimson DLC. I know that some of you are extremely mad with all of the BS going on, and so am I. So, for anyone who wants to help us get achievements and be done with the DLC we are currently open for messaging so you can join us. Message us either on the forums or send us an XBL message to these GT’s:

If you’re sending us messages via XBL, make sure to leave a voice message saying that you want help with the achievements. If you’re responding via forums, respond with a message and then leave your GT at the bottom.

Even if we do help you, we are still trying to get other players to join us. If we get a 6 player party then we’ll do normal, but we’ll get the achievements if we have a full twelve. I’ll be keeping an eye on this forum constantly so we can deal with the influx people who need help. Just message, and I’ll get back to you guys as soon as I can.

Sounds like you are trying to boost, which is ban-able. The only achievement that I find to be overly difficult is the 20 mantis stomps.

Technically your right, Arsenal, but normally it’s considered boosting if you have inactive players in the game. A common example of this is using guests, since normally you wouldn’t have that many friends to help out and you had extra controllers to occupy extra player spaces.

What we’re trying to do is basically play the game normally, but also get achievements at the same time. Think of it as just games where you can mess around in, while also helping each other out. That was pretty much the point of halo from the very first game; just mess around and have fun. It wasn’t meant for competetive play. It was meant for friendly competition between friends, so messing around online is legal as long as you are active and not AFK.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Any collusion with the opposing team to earn achievements is a form of achievement boosting. But by all means, go ahead. Have at it.

Boosting implies that the result will end with them achieving an advantage or in game merit but nobody checks an entire rooms Gamerscore, nor does anyone gloat over their Achievement progress.

It is cheating, not boosting.

Cheating because they dont have the patience and/or skill to get them themselves.
The only ones I see as difficult are the kill from inside a Warthog and the Beat Down Just after Landing of a Man Cannon, the latter of which I got in my second game weirdly.

The 20 Stomps will just take time, it has no difficulty to it.

Time Taken =/= Difficulty.

Special Delivery seems to be the only one, along with They Fly Now?, that seems to be entirely luck based.

EDIT: OK, for some reason, I just unlocked Special Delivery even though I never used a man cannon in the match :I

Wow you people complaining about us getting a full lobby to play together to get a few achievements mean while we are playing the matches in the right way. This why this community has gone down hill. Dest is right with what he said and we don’t want to play custom games and get only 1,000 exp mean while there’s groups who go into lobby’s with full teams and just fight each other and not have stupid people involved in it. I guess going into TR with 5 people in a 4 player play list is considered cheating even tho they played the game right and fought each other cause after we got the achievements we were going to play the game the right way and kill each other for the fun of it.

Boosting plain and simple. An excuse to help you sleep at night doesn’t change that. I get that a few of them sound “difficult” but if you play enough they all seem attainable. Achievements do not result in any cash or material reward. There is no value other than bragging rights. Boosting for it gains you nothing. Why would you want an achievement you didn’t work for? I’ve 100% all halo games (minus halo wars) up to halo 4 legit. Half the fun is the feeling you get when that crazy lucky achievement pops.

Most importantly, with boosting a banable offense, do you think 343 will side with you arguments? Or will you get a temp ban for a few weeks. Just play the game.

On a side note, a lot of achievements in games are skill based, there is a small amount of pride that comes with being good enough to achieve them. Get better.

Oh and saying you’ll play the right way AFTER you get the achievements, that’s a freakin joke. If this at all sounds right to you, get a damn hobby. Little OCD to cheat for achievements.

It isn’t cheating. It don’t hurt no once else when you have people who want to do it and when 2 of the achievements are nearly impossible with out help so stop rying about how others get there stuff.

I’m not sure you can call the achievements nearly impossible when the dlc has only been out for THREE days. Maybe you should be a little more patient and give it time. From gears of war did you expect to get “seriously” or “seriously 2.0” in a few days? Maybe the next dlc should come with the achievements already unlocked . . . . It would be awful if anyone actually had to earn them. . . .

I do earn my achievements but when it comes to ones that are pain in the -yoink- I do them with my friends and other people so we can do them at once and get them together so its easier on everyone. Alot of people do that but this why everyone complains when others put out a hand to help get other achievements.

You obviously don’t EARN much at all. This is why gamerscores are pointless and hold no validity as to someone’s skill at a game. People who have no jobs and no lives can sit around all day with their little friends and achieve their little dreams.

I do earn alot of my achievements by myself but when my friends ask for help I step in to do it and they help me if I need help as well so get off your high horse you MLG wannabes and relaxs its not hurting you now is it?

Okay people just calm down now. I shouldv’e said something earlier about no flaming in the forum (which should be a common rule in all forums). Saying stuff about boosting and cheating shouldn’t be part of the forum topic. I want more intellegent, reasonable posts, not those of rage saying stuff like “oh hes boosting ban him! oh hes cheating ban him!”. Be sensible.

Just calm down now. Obviously people have there opinions but otherwise don’t go raging on waypoint like you do online. You came up with the idea, not me, so don’t start argueing with others unless you want to go 1v1 on them like other annoying players.

I don’t know who you were talking to in the last message, but if it was to me, let me explain. I get achievements to get them out of the way. I don’t like seeing locked achievements on my list when I know I can get it. Achievements like the Seriously 3.0 (Gears of War 3), I’d have to have no life in getting, but I just don’t bother with impossible achievements.

You calm down too. Obviously you and Triple ain’t getting along. I know for a fact that achievements are skill based, but when you just want to get them out of the way in a game that is turning into COD, I’d say it would be worth it. If you have anything else to say then say stuff calmly and not random typos and rage.

I can agree that SOME achievements in the DLC are easy, but the ones that are almost impossible in random matches include those you said. Your right that it does take time, but with almost everyone trying to get them it makes things really difficult. It’s not that I don’t have patience, but I’m just annoyed with all of the other annoying players online. Feels like MW2 all over again.

You mad bro? I don’t think your cheating young man, I just think you lack a sense of pride. Getting tough or unique achievements should give you a sense of accomplishment and joy. I think you need to talk to a professional about these OCD like tendencies. You can’t stand not having an acheivement in a video game unlocked? I am sincerely worried about you and your well being. You sound like the kind of guy that grows up to beat up his wife.

Since you didn’t get past some cell phone autocorrects I’ll post again as calmly as possible:

The dlc has been out for THREE days. Play the game a little more before boosting or making the achievements easier.

Also you mention flaming is against forum rules, I thought threads organizing boosting was as well. Maybe we consult a moderator?

The achievements are currently bugged to Hell and back. I got Special Delivery by punching a Warthog near a wall on… Harvest I think. Didn’t kill it, just punched it because I was completely out of ammo and it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Also got ODST by dropping down from above a guy and hitting him on Shatter. No Man Cannon involved.

That aside, this may or may not be boosting. I would call it that, but that doesn’t mean 343 and MS will call it that and take action against you. Try at your own risk.

Hey buddy it isnt boosting when we are PLAYING with full party of people and no guest and then going to play the game as hole after we all get it then stay together to fight each other what don’t you get.

I know on Pokecommunity that flaming is not allowed (along with Smogon). I’m not sure about these forums, since I’m not used to there design. As for if boosting or cheating is considered flaming, I do not know. If you want, you can ask a moderator, and what he/she thinks about it then that’s the verdict.

Also, I have no iPhone. Only a Verizon Chocolate from like, 2006. Lol. All I ask is for more calm and intellegent posts, as many I see on other websites are just, well, pathetic. Guess it’s my opinion. Ex: Triple’s latest post lol.

At least someone understands, but yeah, I wouldn’t have made this forum for Triple unless I got more opinions and thoughts from what 343i, since MS as a whole just ignores our actions (well, except the Game Studio).

I don’t really have an OCD. Sure I want to get achievements out of the way, but would I worry so much that I would spend hours trying to get it? No. I can do more productive things in those hours like cleaning the house, helping my film crew at school do the weekly show, or even help out -Yoink!- kids with overcoming their social challenges. I don’t spend every minute of every day playing xbox. I do have a life, not some achievement getting OCD.
