I really think Crimson and Majestic need to play key roles in this game, maybe have Majestic in campaign (you play as Thorne) along with Chief, so like Halo 2, you have the Chief and the Arbiter, then have Spartan Ops where you play as Crimson again, but make it feel more like actual missions not “go in and kill dudes” or “here’s a button Crimson press it plz” (and have Firefight since it’s a next gen console it should be able to handle it)

I think Thorne deserves more development, like Chief did with Halo 1, Chief will eventually die and Thorne could be a worthy successor, I think even Hasley recognises his potential
Throne even went toe to toe with Jul’s Lieutenant and survived and put up a good fight
> Thorne as side kick? Chief has luck, the first time he plants a bomb inside a flood invested ship, and drifts away in style, Thorne will drift in space until someone notices he’s missing. Chief needs equal side kicks.
Like Johnson? A pretty much ordinary human being

I’m not talking about co-op, sorry for confusion, I meant like Halo 2 how it’s sort of two separate campaigns

How about more buttons to press?
On topic, I would much prefer they took the Spotlight off Majestic and put it on another Fire-team, It would be nice to see a range of characters on the Infinity, make it seem bigger and makes you care for it more.

> No, my fault, I just edited it too late. That won’t work either. You need characters that people like. Thorne just isn’t that type. He’s a average Joe in every single aspect. You also need someone who brings something interesting to the table. In Halo 2, the Arbiter gave us the perspective of the Covenant. Thorne wont contribute to this, and would end up being boring/redundant.
I want some perspective on Spartan IV lifestyle, heck when have we ever had ANY spartan lifestyle explained in game?

Well War Games is supposed to be cannon, so I guess their Lifestyle involves lag, tea-bagging and Active Camo.
^^
I lol’d.
I wouldn’t mind Majestic having some spotlight in this game. But, I would absolutely love if there was a SPARTAN-IV fireteam comprised of SPARTAN-IIs (Fred, Kelly, and Linda***) or a SPARTAN-IV fireteam comprised of SPARTAN-IIIs that the game put under the spotlight.
***And feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the remaining S-IIs and S-IIIs were given opportunities to be inducted into the S-IV program? At least S-IIIs were, but I’m not sure about remaining S-IIs, so the first bit of that could just be a SPARTAN-II fireteam.
Basically, I wanna see more S-IIs and S-IIIs in these games. ESPECIALLY the S-IIIs.

Yeah, they were given the chance to participate and train. I would also love to see a S-III on last stand again. And it is about time to see Blue Team in games already!
Going back to what the OP said, I wouldn’t mind a split-campaign like Halo 2’s with Thorne as the lead for the other parts of the campaign like the Arbiter was.

Indeed. Parallel campaigns is what made Halo 2 my favorite Halo to date. I would like to see that happen again.
Thorne isn’t there yet. He’s just starting out his Spartan Career.
Ove the course of the next two games, we’ll see him develop into a much greater Spartan. By the time Halo 6 is done, he will have had plenty of experience to take after Chief should 343 decide to kill him off.
Personally I’m fine with Thorne. I like the rather wholesome character who joined the Spartans for the right reasons. Now with his folks and friends killed by the Didact, he’s alone. Just like the Chief has been made to be.
I see potential greatness from Thorne.
If we have another playable character in future titles, I’d like to see a Noble 6 type of situation, only it’s our Crimson character instead. I enjoyed having a customizable main character with a voice in Halo (even if it was limited), wouldn’t mind to see it again only expanded.
Playing as Thorne? Ehh, he’s a nice guy and all, but something about him just doesn’t feel right for main character. I sense it would accepted like Raiden was accepted in MGS2. Which is to say not well at all.
Thorne is a good character. I like him. Want 343i to explore him deeper.
