Credits in Halo 4

I’m hoping cRedits are abolished in Halo 4.

All the implementation of cRedits did was motivate many people to pervert the game by boosting / farming / and even worse, cheating.

I have never seen so many players completely toss aside good sportsmanship and legit playing uintil cRedits were introduced.

Any in game unlockables should be based on earning achievements, with the best unlockables only being able to be obtained through very difficult achievements like the Vidmasters.

The skill 1 - 50 system and Vidmasters and collecting skulls for armor in Halo 3 had its own faults, but there were less boosters, cheaters, AFC’ers (idle players are away from a Controller, NOT a Keyboard), and quitters before cRedits.

I hope there are NO cRedits in Halo 4.

I’m fine with them as long as they don’t affect rank, or have anything to do with the ranking system. Other then that we can use the credits to unlock armor, and what not. But you would still need to rank up to unlock more of the items. We can still unlock stuff through achievements, and milestones.

It should be like this: After you complete, and won a match you would your EXP point which is used to rank up. And you would also get credits for armor, effects, and firefight voices.

If you lost a match you wont get any EXP points, but you would still get credits. You would get half the amount you would get for winning a match.

I thought credits were no motivation to have fun but trying to become the highest rank, I compleltey agree with you op

How do you measure fun?

“I’m General u noob lololol”
vs
“I’m having more fun than u lololol”

Many people play only because stuff like credits.

yeah but after half the ranks are done it gets boring, “oh i have to wait 4 months for my next promotion that means nothing”

playing ranked at least is more fun, you dont jump for joy because you got 3000 creds in a game

In my opinion. They should keep Cr and rank that fit together. But, have another “real” ranked rank for showing your skill. Let’s be honest rank (not TrueSkill but the other one) in halo 3 was -Yoink- too. All you had to do is let your team carry you to victory.

The credit system was a bad joke. Bungie on a trollface day.

It doesnt matter to me, as long as the ranking system doesnt punish people for having a bad game, if you do good (FORGET WINNING, I should be rewarded for doing good, even if my team loses) you get quite a bit of EXP, if you do bad then you get VERY little EXP.

If I have a 10+ KD and my team is just a bunch of kids killing eachother, I shouldnt get less EXP because of them.

If you lose, then you shouldn’t get as many credits as you would if you win. Halo is primarily a team-oriented game and the motivation should stay that way.

Now let’s say you go 20/10 and win. We’ll give you 1500 credits for that. However, if you go 20/10 and lose, you would only get 750 credits because you still lost.

Credits should make a return to Halo 4, but it shouldn’t reflect your skill level like it does now. Credits will increase your “time played rank” and let you purchase stuff from the armory. But you have to win in order to level up your skill rank (which would only be in the ranked playlists). This way, we get our 1-50 skill system back and everyone else gets to keep the credit system and play dress-up.

And I do understand what you mean. I had a bunch of teammates that didn’t know how to play it seemed.

Thats just plain idiotic. If its all about YOUR SKILL then winning shouldnt determine your rank. It should be YOUR SKILL that does. Its rediculous to think that someone should be punished for someone elses SKILL.

If im good, then I should have a rank that shows that, it shouldnt be determined by how many wins I have because what if you are terrible but win every match you play, even though you have a -20 kd? SOME LOGIC YOU HAVE THERE BUDDY

I never said that it should only be based on W/L like Halo 3. It needs to have a little bit of K/D or KA/D in it as well. The problem with having your skill only reflect how well you di is what happened in the Arena. People will start betraying teammates for sniper/rockets/shotgun/sword, etc. People won’t help their teammates because their K/D will be hurt. Halo is primarily a team-oriented game. If you TEAM loses, then you lose. If your TEAM wins, then you win. HOWEVER, that shouldn’t be the only measure of skill. It should take some K/D into consideration, but not much.
