There is still, WAY to much confusion about this, and now am looking for 343 to just finally put it out there in the Update, like the one for voting for TU in TS when you start up Reach.
So many people have never logged into this site, or Bungie’s, and I had a conversation today, with a new friends, who argued with me about the Credit cap being 120k.
343…get it out there in an update that people will see when they hop on to xbox live and load up Reach or Halo CEA…stop relying on people to go to waypoint via xbox live, or to come here to your website…better communication to the masses will result in more population to your game(s).

I hardly see it as a big deal, if they are asking what the cR cap is, they clearly aren’t reaching it so they don’t need to be worried about it.
There is nothing wrong with users asking about it, I certainly don’t mind helping them out.

Neither do I, or does it make just too much sense for 343 to make a simple update post about where to go, as it seems that there are still soooo many people who don’t where to go to get the right info???
We can’t get to everyone to help them now can we…but 343 can make a lot easier for them, and help point them in the right direction.

I have gone over the cap as well, without manipulating the Time Zone at all. One day I got 250+ somehow. The next day I was capped at 85k. Who knows.

Personally I know that the Credit Limit ordeal is just ridiculous. Every time I actually feel like playing Halo Reach I always reach my credit limit within five hours of playing. I am experienced Halo player and I always do my best to get more cR. But what’s the point of playing when your getting nothing out of it. From a video game designers point of view. When this game came out it had an alright Action/Reward system. It didn’t bother me at all. But now that your getting no reward for playing this game when in fact it’s not even fun to play anymore is just mind blowing. If this mistake repeats itself in Halo 4 I will no longer play another Halo game. I’m sure I’m not the only one, fix your problems 343.

According to a halo wiki page i had found, the cap was increased to 200,000cR in January this year.
“The daily credit limit was lifted from 120,000 to 200,000 in late January 2012”
Well I paid $120 for the Legendary edition, bought all of the DLC’s for the game. I also beat every game I can to the fullest I can. I just want my damn Haunted helmet. Is that so bad to ask for when I’ve played this game for so long? This game, Halo Reach was awesome at first. Now with the updates it’s gotten horrible.
if you earn credits after the credit limit is reached do you get those credits the next day?

Why was this ancient thread brought up? Might as well update it. Current Cr. Cap is 300,000.
Recently the most I have earned in one day was 360,000 Cr.
So if you are under the cap, and get a large sum that puts you over the cap… You will get those credits but can’t earn more than that till Cap resets.
Example. Say you earned 280k in one day. You just finished a game and completed a weekly challenge and earned 80k… Even though you hit cap, you end up with 360k but can’t gain any more cr till the day is over.
Additional info:
20,000,000 credits to earn max rank
300,000 daily credit cap
So it takes about 66.666666667 times of hitting credit cap to earn max rank.
