Can someone explain the credit cap to me?
When does it reset?
How high is the cap?
I played for about 4 hours the other night in matchmaking and I got an in-game message saying I could not earn EXP for the rest of the day. No, I did not use double XP codes either.
I am used to playing Halo for up to 12 hours a day some weekends and now I can’t without getting capped?
Someone please explain. I have a feeling it simply hadn’t reset from the day prior and I reached the cap.
It resets when the new daily achievements come out, I think.
I dont know what the cap is specifically, but it shouldn’t exist in the first place. Punishing people for enjoying your game is stupid.
It resets about 4-5 am Central. Personally I have never calculated what the exact cap is at, people have said from 100,000-150,000 xp. Its pretty lame when you get into the specializations, I am on sr-58 and it takes 60,000 xp for 59. So I am technically only able to go up a rank ad a half a day =/
If the XP cap is set at 150,000, and an average match lasts 10 minutes, and the average XP payout is 3,000XP (w/o double), you would have to play 50 matches over the course of 8.3 hours to hit the cap.

look at the daily challenges, when that hits 0 your credit cap resets, and i do have to ask, how the heck do you hit the cap!!! i’ve NEVER hit the cap in this or halo reach

I think the cap here is lower than it was in Reach. I only capped once ever in Reach and I already have a few times here in 4. Also, I guess doing Spartan Ops is a good way to get towards the cap super fast.
