Super excited for this new cr cap and the past 2 days i hit it and my halo tracker stopped at 120,000. I thought the new cr cap was going to be applied with the new December update?
What the heck 343?

" Reach was released on September 14, 2010, and hopefully, over the last 14 months, you’ve experienced your fair share of ranking up. If you have, you’re probably one of the higher levels at this point in your Reach career, meaning you earn more credits per game than people of a lower level. In addition to the number of credits you get for individual games, you also have the opportunity to earn credits through Daily, Weekly, and, now, Custom Challenges. While it’s nice to rake in more of those shiny virtual coins, this also means your chances of hitting the daily credit cap are greater than when you initially started playing. We want you to be rewarded for the blood, sweat, and tears you’re pouring into your online battles, so we’re raising the daily credit cap. Expect this change to go live with the December matchmaking update. "
This is not the case.
He is right, if you are higher then legend it is super easy to Cr cap, and twice as easy to cap in FF doubles
Anyone? Can a mod answer this?
The only time I ever credit caped was when the weekly challenge reward was 34343 cr. I think its rather lame that a challenge would get completed then only give you partial credits.
As someone whom hits it often, I would like to see them just get rid of the darn thing all together.
With Daily, Weekly, and now the NEW custom challenges, if they don’t raise it significantly, or get rid of it, hitting it daily will only take a few hours, and won’t help the population issues, and/or people wanting to play if something doesn’t give and soon.
When asked directly to Admin’s about it, they only respond with reference and link back to Nov/Dec updates already posted, and we all know they don’t say one word about what the limit is being changed to or what day of this month.
> What the heck 343?
Indeed. It’s completely unprofessional of 343 to promise something and then not only deliver it, but fail to even offer an explanation or an update on its status.
There’s no excuse for this. Someone needs to tell you-know-who that we, their customers, care more about this, about Reach servers being available, about Anniversary not crashing our Xboxes or tricking us into shooting invisible walls, and so on than we do about a gazillion community screenshots.
This does not bode well for Halo 4.
it’s wednesday. i’m sure they’ll address it in the halo bulletin that should be out later… if not then rage lolz

People like you are awful. It’s live already, the message at Reach’s start up and simply plaything named game types
" Expect this change to go live with the December matchmaking update."
Could the OP be right? I dunno, I haven’t capped since the update, but given past update/changes the OP could be right.
You people who repost and rehash things like this think your doing everyone a favor, please don’t respond unless it’s based upon primary fact.

The update is live, but the credit cap hasn’t been raised. What other facts do you feel are pertinent?
And who are you to go around calling people awful? Look, buddy, this is 343’s doing. They told us to expect something they didn’t deliver and they haven’t bothered to issue any updates about either. Those are facts too. If they promised nothing or delivered on their promise we wouldn’t even be having these conversations. They screwed up. We aren’t awful for calling them on it.
All these posts complaining about the credit cap… The answer is simple.
They probably just got delayed by a few days. That’s all. Just wait until the weekend. Or until the next weekly bulletin, they’ll surely say something by then.
Enough already.
i think its bull -Yoink- allaround i hit the cap every single day for 6 months to get my inheritor. now the caps going up, goddamnit, and KEYS like u can really complain about cr. lolz u hit mythic in what. like a week and a half. lll
The new cap got delayed because Waypoint is down for maintenance, BS angel posted it should be up by December 8th.

Posted it where? I looked and couldn’t find anything about it.
what the -Yoink-?
no one has gained more than 120k per day, how can they say it’s been increased with the december update?

I got it from here.
I’ve been hearing from several people who credit cap each day that the new credit cap is only 140k. Has anyone discovered this to really be true?

First, that’s a Bungie page. Second, I have seen nothing official from 343 on this site indicating that maintenance was going on. Do you have a link that actually has BS angel’s GT or forum ID in it?
I find myself in agreement with SkyTag Jumpmstr. The amount of information NOT given us by 343 every time they change something is deeply concerning. I don’t blame BS angel b/c she’s PR/advertising and the geeks never tell the PR guys what they really need to know. But Bungie used a format where they doled out bits of info over time but we actually got all the info we needed to know. The fact is it seems 343 is very DISengaged from the Halo community. That’s going against the current that Bungie set up which I feel is one of the primary reasons that Halo was so popular as a game series. I mean what other game can you find a machinima Easter egg based on the fan-dom? Other game companies figured out that doing what Bungie did is SMART.
But so far, as a fan, I don’t think that 343 have communicated effectively with us at all. This credit cap is just one issue that I’ve seen crop up that is indicative of a much more severe problem than not being able to get 250k cR/day. Games live and die now by interacting and responding to their communities. 343 may want to establish themselves with a different identity than Bungie, and I’m cool with that. But certain aspects of what makes a game like Halo great, i.e. communicating with their fans and using that feedback to constantly improve the experience and then cogently giving us how and why they made their changes, just needs top be done exactly the same. The fans (read me) have gotten used to a certain level of interaction. Not having that interaction disappoints and ultiately can drive some of us from the game, never to play again.
