Since commendation progress freezes once players hit the credit limit, it is difficult for inheritors to continue commendations. Inheritors earn enough credits per game to reach the limit after only a few games of firefight (or ~2 hours of matchmaking).
Why not impose a credit freeze on all inheritors? This would have no adverse affects, as credits are truly irrelevant to inheritors since their rank is maxed out. They would be allowed to complete commendations more easily this way.
To other inheritors, what do you think? Good idea?
My commendations dont freeze when I hit cr cap. They used to but ever since they fixed th cr cap its been fine.
But to be honest there shouldnt be a cr cap for Inheritors

I haven’t capped for at least a month, but when I was capped, the commendations still froze.
According to some people here, they don’t freeze, can any of you actually do a video on this showing your commendations before the game, and after, while capped.
i see no point at all earning credits as a Inheritor, what am i going to do with 25mill credits? i would love to give them out to someone who needs them.

That isn’t the point, while capped you couldn’t advance on your commendations due to a error on 343i’s end, meaning once you were capped, you literally had nothing to do as an Inheritor.

Some people including me like to aim for something when playing Reach, the only thing I have to aim for now is Commendations, it doesn’t affect me to much due to the fact I rarely hit the cap but when I do, it is a pain that I can’t get my commendations up.
Then fool around in Custom Games or Forge.

Honestly I’ve noticed some Inheritors “full party boosting” working on commendations with AFK guests. This gets them cR banned, therefore it’s impossible for them to hit the cap and they can boost ALL DAY with no penalty because they don’t need cR…

Not my playstyle, considering the people I play with are all Speed Halo, no competitiveness, I prefer to stick to working towards my commendations.

I hit the cr cap yesterday and my commendations never froze. They havent froze since 343 fixed the cr cap limit showing up.
Maybe its still brokedn for others. Try clearing system cache and redownloading update for reach. Might fix the problem

Another reason why Bungie dropped the ball with Reach.
I still don’t understand why a Credit cap was necessary in the first place.

Actually, that glitch didn’t happen until 343i went in and messed around to raise the credit cap. So I guess, it’s indirectly our fault. All of our complaining drove them to go in and raise the cap, it’s just dumb luck that they broke something else in the process.

If it ain’t Infection, its a big no, you are totally going off the point here, going to custom games isn’t the answer, sure you may like custom games, but I don’t to a degree, I want to achieve something, commendations being that something, sadly I can’t do it sometimes due to the cap.

As I stated in earlier post try deleting your system cache and redownloading the Halo:Reach update and see if that fixes the problem

Interesting. This suggests that it’s happening to some people and not others. I’ve cleared my cache at least a few times since the issue arose when they first raised the cap. They’re still freezing for me.
Are you using custom challenges to hit the cap or are you using the old fashioned way?
Imagine if there were no commendations to track what you do. Or if there was no ‘max’ and it just went higher and higher. Would you still play the game as much? Would people abuse exploits for assists or multikills as much if it wasn’t being tracked?
