Credit boosters and other things

I do not know what you think, but I find that after so many years, the game should have enjoyed a continuous boost of credits of at least 200%, and also unlock the exclusives armor effects such as Legendary or Eternal.
343 should think about maintaining the classic games as playable games but also that they can be completed by the maximum number of players now …

People have been asking for years about getting those armor effects.
They were Bungie-exclusive and time-exclusive.
We aren’t getting them, as 343 has stated several times.
Either way, it’d be a slap in the face to anyone who rightfully earned the armor effects.
And this is coming from someone that has neither.

I have Eternal it was for downloading a bungie app to your ipod or iphone and hitting a button. It was for bungie day back in 2011 and I got mine. And allowing players to unlock two rather minuscule things won’t revive reach.

Ok… but credit boosters ? Reach jhas a too long multiplayer rank system… i think we can have a little reinforcement for all players who could start Reach today … or those who would finally want to reach Inheritor…

Reach deserves more recognition and displaying new armor effects, or releasing similar ones, such as a green flaming helmet, would bring just that. I mean, why would players be able to continuously accumulate cR without anything to spend it on?

Basically this. Eternal Armor effect is both Bungie and Time exclusive directly. Legendary is indirectly a time exclusive, but it was still an incentive for those who bought the Legendary Edition. To give either away would be a slap in the face, the same aspect like if 343i would give FOTUS Armor away on the 360 version of Halo 4. They were console/bundle content incentives. I do have both armor effects, and in my opinion, there really isn’t much special about the Legendary Armor effect, and the Eternal Armor Effect serves for making nicer screenshots.

Reach is a six year old game. 343i is working on Halo 6 now, so unless it is for balancing reasons or server/console fixes, I doubt 343i will do any additions to Reach at this point. If they do for whatever reason add new armor effects, It will likely be a purple flame armor effect as a tip of the hat to Exuberant Witness and as a way of combining the two for a new flame. Reach has alot of potential still to grow, but 343i has other plans. Would be nice to see the GRD helmet finally be released for this game, but I doubt that will ever happen.

I can honestly say 343i would never give cR boosts to Reach. They were the very people who lowered the cR rewards on Daily and Weekly challenges, patched the Target Locator boosting method of cR boosting, removed custom cR challenge creation from Waypoint, and removed Firefight Doubles to prevent cR boosting. I think with those actions, it’s pretty adamantly clear that 343i wants the game to be played where cR is being earned by the amount of time you put into the game, though some said it was done to push people to the newer Halo games and away from Reach.

If new players want to reach Inheritor rank, they will have to play the game alot and earn their way to it and it’s pretty obvious when a player earned their way there compared to boosting their way through Grifball, which seems to be the current trend with ‘peace’ games to boost the performance bonus and game time bonus as well as spawncampkilling to cheat by statpadding and commedation boosting.

If people want the Legendary Armor effect, they can find a new copy of the Legendary Edition (Some Wal-Marts still have the Legendary Edition in the back of the store collecting dust, you would be surprised) or buy an eBay code. Those who want the armor Eternal Armor Effect are out of luck unless they use an ill-legit method and break LIVE Code of Conduct, which will likely lead to a permaban from Reach and/or Xbox LIVE.

Of course Reach is old, and I hope it remains the same, as it is my favorite Halo game. It just seems that with every release the lifespan dwindles in regards to new releases. Halo 6 is already being worked on? Wow. You’d think Halo Wars and Halo 5 would be a big task for the franchise. I’m glad Halo Reach is AT LEAST backwards compatible!

I am happy Reach is backwards compatible, even though I currently do not own a stable system to play it on (My 360 keeps randomly turning on and off because reasons). It is a lot of fun, but you are correct in the regard of the potential to see the game be made more worthwhile. New Armor and Armor effects would be nice, such as the GRD helmet alot of people want to see be released for example. It’s just 343i has Halo 5 to maintain right now as they work on Halo Wars 2 and a while out Halo 6. I honestly don’t see them returning to a six year old game to make more DLC, unless it would be profitable on a grand scale.

And even if it were profitable on a grand scale, it would bring up the matter of old DLC and removed playlists, since there are no solid playlists for that outside of the Anniversary DLC lists, so that would be more work and more hearing from people how the old DLCs ‘should be released for free’ or or at a reduced price, and how old playlists like Squad Slayer, Team Action Sack, and Firefight Doubles should be returned. So even if a new DLC is made for Reach with new content, 343i would hear a wave of rants about the old DLC and old content. In their eyes, it’s probably just best to leave Reach as it is save maintenance to prevent a world of headaches and lashing out from some of the community.

I got an unopened ledgendary edition for $25 at a raffle a few months ago, ledgendary effect, recon, the exclusive elite armor, and the statue. 6 years after reach came out. Get slapped in the face

this is bull my credit goes up so slow and down so fast like when obama care screwed me because iu paid off my credit cards damn 343

i agree 343 shouldnt have put them for public view if we couldnt get them thats -Yoinked!- up

Guys, this is a six year old game. I don’t mean to sound like a geezer/Reach hater because it’s my most-played and most-enjoyed Halo game, but this is insane.

It’s like when Reach launched asking for updates to Halo 2 on the original Xbox. Hell, Halo 2 wasn’t even playable online when Reach launched - the fact that we can still play it on the old console (and the fact that IMO Halo 2 is arguably a better game) is a gift itself. Asking for updates to it is quite silly.

Halo 1 PC has received an official update 7 years after its release … it’s not so impossible. 343 just needs a reason as well as seeing that the community wants to benefit from just a small update of convenience so that the game can remain playable and that its endgame is not so impossible to reach …

It would definitely be a slap in the face for me if all of a sudden everyone got both flaming effects. I spent good money on the legendary edition, as well as getting the other flame on the certain time.

Plus, if everyone got them, then they wouldn’t be unique anymore. That’s what happened when everyone got recon in Halo 3.
