Says the Gold3 ranked - obviously still too hard for you.
But yeah HW is primarily a console RTS - a genre that doesn’t naturally translate to the platform so it has to be simpler. Something I am actually really enjoying - the most fun I’ve had on an RTS since supreme commander 2 launched.

lmao dodger alert, the cancer grows… enjoying the simplicity… you must mean enjoying playing shipmaster exclusively, enjoying using the same strat over and over to rank up and feel special. i watched btc’s tourny, at the highest level of play the strats r spam jr’s and spam air. the game has a low skill ceiling, which makes it repetitive fast. the xbox isn’t limiting complex gameplay, the devs are. i just think we should have more units and more upgrades therefore more strats. but hey whatever floats your boat, congrats on mastering SM, maybe give atriox a try? kinsano?

Dodger? How so?
I very much enjoy Shipmaster, his strategies are varied because he specialises in out-positioning his opponents which does not favour any one strat but allows him to be flexible in the early or lategame - hence why I play mostly him. He is a utility leader - very few of his powers provide direct damage which means you can’t just drop inferno on an entire enemy army and kill them all, you actually have to think. And although I do feel his displacement is a little OP, compared to Kinsano’s early game or Atriox’s invulnerable lategame he is not an OP leader, top tier - yes, but not OP.
I commented because you have been salty and negative in multiple posts recently. I feel your behaviour is terrible and thought it only fair to make clear to everyone that, based on your rank and game history, your strategies and gameplay are terrible too.
If you are finding the gameplay repetitive - don’t play the game and don’t pollute the forums.

u actually have to think? Are u kidding me? Ur right. U cant just drop an inferno… u can just teleport their army anywhere u want every 45 seconds… I read someone say somewhere that ship is like playing chess but every few turns you get to move ur opponents pieces around… <------ this is spot on. Hes broken. Nuff said

It’s pretty high-level, scripted and awkward, but I find it an interesting talk and enjoy trying to understand why they make the decisions they do.

It’s funny listening to them describe leader powers as “spells.” I never realized that Shipmaster is a sorcerer with space magic abilities. Awesome!

don’t get it twisted i am very passionate for the game, but i won’t be pacified by the sad excuse which is the ranked experience. salty no, a couple negative posts perhaps. n ok fine so you’re a high rank in 2v2, good for you n your buddy running the same cheese over and over. i solo queue. i play all the leaders for fun, whoever i have used least i pick becuz that is a fun challenge to me. i agree with you about shipmaster, he definately feels the most tactical, n you gotta love the sangheili but i just dont enjoy playing the same leader over and over to feel special about my rank. so like i said whatever floats your boat bro.

Did you actually read my comment?
I said his displacement is OP - and your exaggeration of 45s is somewhat overblown. The cooldown on Displacement is currently 120 seconds, as I have said in multiple other posts this should probably be closer to 240 seconds (4 minutes) and/or have an increased cost. However, it is very hard to compare a movement ability to a direct damage ability. As I said above, shipmaster is top tier, with Kinsano and Atriox, but there’s a reason he’s not totally dominating the ranked leaderboards** over those other leaders - generally, most of his abilities are sub-standard, he just makes up with it with a couple of very good ones.
And yeah I do have to think, maybe that makes me bad. And if so that’s completely fine with me.
**(Of the top 10 on each war gametype on both platforms - 60 total - 22% of players main with shipmaster, compared to 35% Kinsano, 22% Atriox, 8% Anders and others)
