I am in the process of constructing a new competitive map called “Dead Stop”, of which I am in the final stage of completion. Ultimately hoping to reviewed by a CC if they are still around.
My hurdle in this case is more along the line of aesthetics and creating street signs. Im tryin to pool some knowledge from the forums on how some of you create signs on forge for gameplay.
I’m tryin to create a street signs to be written on 2x1 flat blocks, (ex. 7th street) What are some or your techniques?
That, and the performance issues that huge n° of object cause, is the main reason for not writing.
I have not found another method.Flag bases allow very small signs, though.
Forge needs alot of improvements this is a good start but more needs to happen. Forge 2.0.
I used the flag stand to build a test sign, walk like half map away from then looked back everything starting flash. WTF! Now how do I fix that?
You shouldn’t be requiring signs to aid the players’ senses of direction. If navigation is an issue, consider changing the color of objects, or adding lights.

The signs aren’t needed the Idea was purely to keep with the theme of the map and add some aesthetics.
