creating a series

Hay halo community, Im planning on starting to make a series like Red vs blue somewhat but different. any Ideas for where the story can go? It would be a great help if you can give me some ideas and ill try making it.

Depends one type or genre you are wanting to try, Like Red vs Blue, they are comedy but take on serious/action pack stories. Focus is the humor but they go forward with the story that connects them. I recommend dont just try to do what RvB does, youtube Halo machinima, and see some of the other works people did, back in Halo 3 wise.
“Spriggs” is a good start on humor.
Got to also know what can YOU do to make it happen. Got the skills of a writer, editor, acting, director, or forge to create the scenes?

im listening, you got me at RVB XD

But how about this, why don’t you have a red team vs a blue team where they argue whether halo 5 is good or not, and stuff thats usually found on waypoint, ill be game to help, but it will take some time

This. It’s ok to mimic a formula but make sure you do not copy it. Viewers will be able to tell if you are paying homage to RvB or just ripping it off.

Try something that hasn’t been done but will be entertaining and fun to do. Iv’e seen some serious machinemas that were good in concept and tanked when it came to pulling it off. This will not be easy and will take time, effort, dedication, and a team. make sure the characters actually have a personality and character before writing. RvB was successful because each character has a distinct personality, which aided in distinguishing them from one another besides different armor color. Characters first. Stay away from archetypes (ie; the village idiot, the lazy one, the nerd) and try to make them more like real people that have some… interesting viewpoints.
Lastly, get used to the idea of re-writing; you will likely have entire scripts get thrown out based on public reception. A character doesn’t get the likability you were going for, you’re going to have write it in, a character becomes bland you’re going to have to write in some spice. Good Luck, and if you would like any help hit me up. I may not be able to do anything huge but I am willing.
