Created conflict finished by the end or continue?

Halo 5 introduced the Created conflict to the fiction. It is clear the conflict will continue into Infinite. This is a question I wanna ask you guys and see what you think. By the end of the Campaign, do you think the Created conflict will be concluded and resolved, or do you think it’ll continue into Halo 7?

I see it playing out this way:

The Chief comes close to defeating Cortana and her forces throughout a decisive and hard fought campaign, with the support of what remains of the UNSC. In the end, Cortana realizes something she has not wanted to acknowledge from the start: in order to remake the galaxy in her own image, she will have to activate the Halo Array, cleanse the galaxy of all organic life, and start over from scratch.

So the game, in my prediction, will end with her escaping from a final confrontation with the Chief and taking her remaining forces to the Ark so she can do just that. Then in H7 we can re-introduce the SoF and the Banished to the mainline Halo games as they reluctantly join forces to stop Cortana. I have this image of the Chief briefing Lasky on the bridge at the end of the game when a comms officer says, “sir, I’m receiving an odd signal on an old UNSC band”. Lasky then tells him to put it on the loud speaker. Then the Chief visibly tenses as he hears the tune of Oly Oly Oxen Free over the loud speaker. Then Chief whispers to himself “out in the free. We’re all free.” Then the game ends. Or, if Chief dies in that final confrontation, some other Spartan like Fred or Kelly makes those final remarks.

This signal would be a message from Jerome to whoever is listening that they’ll take it from here. Then in H7, Jerome becomes the protagonist who takes on Cortana and finally stops her from firing the Array.

I really hope so. I would love it if the Master Chief went toe-to-toe with Atriox with the help of Red Team.

I’d like them to be done with the Created and Prometheans and move on to other factions already, be that the Banished and/or the other rumored one whose name I cannot recall.

I wouldn’t mind fighting both the Created and the Banished.
