Was one of the first troops to land on harvest, he also fought alongside the legendary Spartan S-117, as well as numerous others. Also he was able to get to the Halo installation 03. While defending the outer colonies he was hit by a ghost, after six months he was redeployed to the inner colonies with the prestigious Alpha squad as a sniper/explosives expert when he learned his former Echo squad were all K.I.A. He served there until he had to fall back to Reach, he defended Reach well as an advance pilot and jet pack trooper. During the final battle of Reach an Elite captain attempted to kill him with a gravity hammer, he was badly injured but did not die for a Spartan III dived in the way and killed the elite captain with an energy sword, this Spartan lost his arm though. They were both evacuated on the Pillar of Autumn to Earth. In 2554 R815 signed up for the Spartan IV project.
