Create your own Halo 4 Map Pack

Hey Everyone

As most of us probably know Halo 4 will have a total of 3 map packs after its release. i just want to ask you guys what your 9 most desired maps would be?

They can be a remake or something new, you dont have to explain a new map in specifics but you can if you want.

Here are mine;

MP1
1 Sandtrap remake
2 Medium sized map similar to the size of Last Resort
3 A small-medium map for 4v4 and other small-ish games

MP2
1 A newer larger map for btb
2 A remake of either the pit or guardian
3 Another medium sized map

MP3
1 A remake of either standoff or waterworks
2 A newer small map similar in style to lockout
3 Another medium sized map like highground

Mine is fairly basic but feel free to elaborate on yours.

Here’s mine:

MP1

  1. Remake of Blackout
  2. New Gametype
  3. One small map for 4v4

MP2

1.Remake of Last Resort
2.One big map
3.New skin for weapons

MP3

  1. Small map 4v4
  2. New skins
  3. Medium sized map

Either a remake of High Grounds or Relic, only bigger and set during a stormy night.

This obviously needs the Night vision back, but I’ve always wanted to play on something like that on CTF on that kind of level.

Lol alright, mine:

Aqua Mappack

  1. Remake of Relic …possibly set during the night?
  2. A medium sized map along a beach
  3. A smaller map, roughly Lockout/ Midship, that’s underwater (Kind of from the level Regret in Halo 2)

Blizzard Mappack

  1. Remake of Containment
  2. Medium level in the snow, similar to Backwash in terms of size
  3. Small map, based on the top pyramid in Assault on the Control Room (Halo CE)

Magma Mappack

  1. Remake of Waterworks, yet with lava included (Looks like mission “Forerunner”)
  2. Smaller map, indoor within a volcanic lab
  3. Medium sized map tha’d be great for objective, similar to Zanzibar in size.

Here are my map packs.

Map Pack 1 - Beginnings

Maps - Penance, Prisoner, High Noon
Gametype - Search and Destroy (Team locates and deactivate it under 3 min. 3 Rounds. 12 players)

Map Pack 2 - Peril

Maps - High Ground, Epitaph, Guardian
Gametype - Survival of the Fittest (Spartans have 10 lives. Survive. 8 Players)
Skin - Desert (Magnum)

Map Pack 3 - Last Stand

Maps - Sword Base, Countdown, Breakpoint
Gametype - Search and Rescue (Team locates A.I./Package. Defend. 16 Players)
Skin - Noble (DMR)

I have more in mind but these are the best i can come up with.

2.terminal
3.high ground
4.breakneck
5.last resort
6.longshore
7.ghost town
8.waterworks
9.then a tie between rats nest and standoff

i’d also like for them to bring invasion back and have a dlc pack committed to that

INTERACTIVE MAP PACK.

Map 1: Large BTB
Map 2: Medium Squad Based sized
Map 3: Small Team slayer/ Doubles sized

Then only difference is though, these levels change as the game progresses.

Remember in Gears 2 where on one level an Avalanche would come down and take anyone out who was in the way, leaving a different landscape for the survivors to fight in? Or remember on Halo 2 where on CTF if you were attacking you had to open the portal to stand a chance of being able to score?

I want stuff like that, I want the level to have different things to interact with or events to occur that change the layout. I’m stick of a level just staying the way it is throughout the whole match.

It’s a shame that none of the maps shown have any means of interaction at all…

Protocol map pack

1.Remake of Sandtrap

3.New forge enviroment

The One True Map Pack:

  1. Zanzibar
  2. Last Resort
  3. Zanzibar/Last Resort remake

Did this in another thread the other day, actually. I wanted 1 remake in each new pack, and 2 new maps. The remake makes up for having to have 1 map slot be filled with a stupid Firefight map, like with Reach (I hate Firefight and almost never play it unless it’s Score Attack by myself). Mine went something like this

PACK 1:

  • Remake of “Waterworks”
  • Small, symmetrical map (preferably a night-time map)
  • Medium-small asymmetrical map (preferably a desert or tropical/hot themed map)

PACK 2:

  • Remake of “Sandtrap” but do it in a grass/dirt/Mayan Ruins-looking style (kind of like Sanctuary from Halo 2), maybe call it something like “Temple”
  • Medium, symmetrical map (preferably a tech-themed map)
  • Large, asymmetrical map

PACK 3:

  • Remake of “Terminal”, same style, but much more updated of course, and more “tech” looking
  • Small, asymmetrical map (like Guardian; that kind of style, but Forerunner influenced)
  • Medium asymmetrical map, preferably cavern-based theme (like Waterworks, but different obviously)

All the map packs would be five maps for 800 MSP, because three maps for 1200 MSP is a ripoff and we all know it.

The ONLY way I’d accept Sandtrap is the way you just explained it. That would make me want it to come back if it had the visual style of Sanctuary. As long as it is not just…sand. Lol but you can add trees and such to increase player movement rather than pure vehicle movement, and I think It’d be more enjoyable.

Guardian
The Pit
Narrows
Tempest or Sandtrap

The HALO Package:

a remake of every HAlO map (except for Wars and ODST since their maps arent for multiplayer)

Relic “midday and during a rough monsoon”, Turf and Colossus.

I like the ideas of both Riot and Sgt. Doc. My own contribution with possible names:

Revival Map Pack (Remade maps based on rich scenic environments overflowing with color)

  1. Ghost Town Remake (Severely overgrown by the jungle; many rivers and waterfalls) “Myriad” or “Eidolon”

  2. Waterworks Remake (Water or lava dripping from the cavern ceiling on different parts of the map, lots of subterranean fungus and other organic life) “Troglodyte” or “Deluge”

  3. High Ground Remake (Set on Earth in the fall, with gorgeous trees, pumpkins here and there, leaves blowing in the wind, and part of the base on fire) “Parapet” or “Bulwark”

Forsaken Map Pack

  1. Some sort of map set partially above ground and partially under ground, with the above-ground section being almost totally barren but for two Mammoths while the underground section an eerie CQC labyrinth between the two bases.

  2. A Covenant mining facility on an abandoned moon. Small, symmetrical.

  3. A deep crater with lava at the bottom with structures on the sides leading downward. Players can take the long way on the edge of the ring or risk dashing across the unprotected platforms in the middle. Rather large, symmetrical, flying vehicles mostly.

Map Pack 1:
Sandtrap remake (MAMMOTHS!!!)
Snowy map new but reminicent of High Ground
Containment (a small 4v4 map inside a prison?)

Map Pack 2:
Glacier (BTB map packed with snow, reminicent of Avalanche but with frozen lakes that make you vehicle slide around! Perhaps big enough to support mammoths?)
Swamp (4v4 small swampy map)
Downpour (A map featuring heavy rainfall, sight across map somewhat limited but not real bad)

Map Pack 3:
?
?
?

Sorry I ran out of ideas! I might come back with some more later!

Name: Forge Map Pack*.
Cost: Eight hundred Microsoft Points.

  • Sandtrap/Sandbox: A map that mixes the two maps together along with some new spaces to play on, as well as a tonne of new Forge objects.

  • Foundry/Standoff: The two maps mixed together, Foundry being some underground warehouse, or something like that. Making the map much bigger than it was in Halo 3. A tonne of new and existing Forge objects included.

  • New Forge environment.
