We have a lot of different and cool emblems in Halo 5, but would it be nice if we have the option to create our own emblem in future titles. What do you think?
Would be cool, but I’d settle for the ability to choose a background and toggling on/off part of an existing emblem like the previous Halo games… also, if my emblem could appear on my armor somewhere, that would be great, thanks.

Agreed.
If we could do custom emblems, I’d probably just make a band logo.
would love this option. Of course, somebody would ruin it with a giant purple -Yoink!- toy. Probably why it’s not an option to begin with.

Just make it like the previous Halo games. Why 343 would purposely lower the amount of customization in Halo 5 baffles me. Oh wait that’s right, so they can make more Money off REQ packs. Thanks again 343 for introducing the cancer of micro transactions into Halo.
I knew this forum would come up eventually. I knew it. It’s getting spammy and clickbaity. However: my personal emblem would be the scorpion (like the animal) that I used in MCC.
I like not having personal emblems. to me it’s kind of a call of duty thing and we already have a ton of good emblems. I think an official 343 forum asking what we want in the next game would be the best rout
More choices on colors for what we have.
Custom no… I play cod. And way sick of -Yoinks!-,-Yoink!-,cuss words, you name it. You can’t go one game without seeing muilt of each above
It would be nice if I could in selected areas of my emblem like using the paint can in paint.
I often find the background colour interferes with what I’m trying to set.
Before I in other halos once I find an emblem i like I never change it but in halo 5 I’m constantly changing it cause it’s not perfect enough.
It would be nice to have a Rose or some variant, but “No.” Definitively, “No.” I don’t particularly want to see crude depiction of genitalia, racist and political symbols, or the like whenever I load up Halo. This is just one of those things that the potential for abuse severely outweighs the more nearly awesome potential results. A ‘happy medium’ (hate that term) would be for 343 to come up with an emblem design competition and let the community vote on the favorites after the -Yoinks!- and more discriminatory ones were weeded out and the top few get added in.

Except literally the only thing they’ve removed from emblem customization was the ability to toggle the second layer of an emblem off and changing the background. They did that because some of the emblems have become far more complex than the ones seen in previous games, such as the Unggoy or Dare emblems. However, the new emblems are amazing because they give players different nameplates, can be animated, much more detailed, and offer a diverse selection to choose from. You can still create custom emblems by changing the colors.
Also, your post has nothing to do with the topic at hand. It’s just you being salty about the REQ system.
As for the actual topic OP, custom emblems would be a terrible idea. As many have said, loading up a game of CoD or Battlefield (though this one isn’t as bad) leads to all sorts of immature crap showing up for emblems. Hell, even Halo 2 allowed genitally to be ‘created’ using a combination of two emblems. We don’t need.

How does me saying that the emblems should be like previous Halo games, have nothing to do with the topic at hand. I’m saying that you could already create your own emblem in previous games. Maybe not as much as some other games, but still.
Also, maybe instead of complaining about me saying bad things about the REQ system, you could actually explain why I’m wrong. Oh wait that’s right you can’t because I’m actually 100% right, and instead of trying to come up with points against me, (which you have none) you just say that I’m apparently ‘salty’ about the REQ system. Which seems to be the go to way for 343 defenders to dismiss any actual argument against them. I’m complaining about the REQ system because it’s -Yoinking!- terrible. I could explain EXACTLY why it is terrible in great detail if I had the time, but considering you think that my post had ‘nothing’ to do with the topic, purely because it was against you’re view on it; it would probably go straight over your head.
Also i think you’re forgetting that when Halo 5 launched, you actually couldn’t change emblem colours properly. You could only choose from presets for each colour. The only reason we can choose colours now is because people complained about it. Oh I’m sorry, i guess according to you, anyone complaining about 343 must be salty about it so that means all their points are invalid. Even though people being ‘salty’ about the colour choices, literally resulted in 343 changing it.
Next time, try arguing against what I’m complaining about, instead of insulting me for complaining about it. - I’m gonna bold this part to make sure you don’t miss it.
I just want my spider emblem back.
I really am not a fan of Halo 5’s emblem system. It is restricting, not only because we only get precast emblems, but also because we have to unlock those emblems randomly. I miss the days when we could craft our own emblems, which was the norm in Halo from CE to 4. I blame the REQ system.
To people who say custom crafting emblems would lead to an abundance of vulgar decals, I counter that in every previous title, I could count the number of rude emblems I saw in matchmaking on one hand, two at most, out of all the multiplayer games I played. Sure, such a system would have the potential for abuse like that, but the number of people who would actually use it would be small. It’s no worse than the creative ways some immature players use the 4 character service tag to say rude things. And every game, no matter the rating, always has that disclaimer: “Online interactions not rated by ESRB”.
