Hey guys, as you may know, I am the author of a thread which proposes that the UNSC Sparrowhawk becomes a driveable vehicle in campaign and multiplayer gameplay. The Sparrowhawk is quite a powerful vehicle with duel machine guns and fast speed and maneuverability. Since Halo: Combat Evolved, we have only known one air-based Covenant vehicle which can be driven in game (excluding Halo: Custom Edition). This is why I ask for people to design a new air-based Covenant vehicle which can match the Falcon/Sparrowhawk in power.

Name: Gorgon Nickname/s: Stoner,Ruster,Scavenger Size: Roughly about the same size as a Seraph Speed: Between 150-200 Km/h Armament: One prototype rusting beam,capable of making the joints and rivets in machines fall apart. Two Heavy Needler turrets,light sheilds. Strenghts: The Rusting beam is capable of tearing anything made of metal apart,including both ground and air forces by forcing the rivets to undergo extreme rusting,causing it to literally fall apart,while the Heavy Needler Turrets keep any air forces in range from getting too close. Weaknesses: The Sheilds are extremely suspectible to plasma fire,and once their gone,their gone for good,the rusting beams cannon is extremely volatile too,any overheating and it will explode,crippling the vehicle and downing it. The beam also takes up to 10 seconds to charge,making it incredibly slow Specific weakpoints: The Rusting cannon,if taken direct fire,will either overheat or backfire,causing the charge up to explode outwards and release its energy,causing anything metal within it’s range to instantly rust and fall apart.

Strengths: Fast, easily manueverable, Ability to float without moving (not available for the banshee), has two forward plasma shooters, and can drop needler bombs directly beneath it. (A needler bomb is a bomb that explodes with a lot of needler shrapnel and has the capability of super-combine explosions and can also wreck vehicles.)
Weaknesses: No cockpit, driver is easily susceptible to enemy fire.
Specific weakpoints: Driver, and is easily jackable.

Armament - Arbiter clone generator, a device that creates invisible teleporters through which Arbiter can reappear (one application of this is when he’s falling to his death), lots of energy swords loaded on a rack (looks and functions like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hwacha), and the vehicle produces a silver grey mist that mutates enemies into an Arbiter.
Strengths - badassness
Weaknesses - none, it resurrects
My serious reply will come later because I can’t think of any befitting Covenant name.

Nicknames - The Guardian
Detail - Originally used for mining, it is now used for anti air combat.
Size - Massive wingspan (i.e. like the Banshee’s wings but 3x bigger), heavy body, has a docking shockwave which is like a miniature version of the Forward Unto Dawn (as seen in The Ark level) Speed - streamlined: very fast Crew - pilot, copilot (if there’s a copilot, he can control the missiles) Armament - the tip of the vehicle near the cockpit is very sharp like an eagle’s beak so it’s capable of vehicle splatter (like the Chopper), armed with 3 anti air fuel rod missile racks (all my vehicles must have missile racks, even Arby), and has predatory resemblance. Strengths - can hover, can boost, stuff mentioned in armaments, very fast, pilot has option to eject (no parachute though) rather than just getting out, can operate on land, although it is less effective on ground Weaknesses - Less maneuverable, slow reload time, no plasma cannons, everything except body is vulnerable, missile racks rof can be slowed down by damaging them. The vehicle in general is vulnerable to bullets but the body is vulnerable to explosives. Specific Weakpoints - Wings
Name: S-type 284 Nicknames: The Wolves (Wolf) Size: Similar size to that of a ghost, maybe a little bigger Speed: Just a little quicker than a ghost boosting (when the wolf is boosting) Crew: 1 Pilot, possibly one Gunner (but similar aspect to that of the Mongoose, gunner hangs off back. This should reduce speed though, and if it reaches 70% of its max thrust the extra gunner will fall off) Armament: Similar plasma cannons to the Banshee, those these rounds have a bleed through affect. Strengths: Quick, very quick. Used as a scout. Attacks using hit and run techniques. Weaknesses: Rocket/ or explosive type armaments. Specific Weakpoints: Take off and landing are slow. This proves to be the best time to attack.
Name:Ghoul
Nickname:Bomber
Size:Bigger than a banshee but smaller then a seraph. Similar shape to a seraph
Speed:Same as banshee for boost and cruising speed.
Crew:1 driver and 1 gunner.
Armament:Can drop 2 fuel rod cannons around the same strength of Halo Reach’s fuel rod cannons for the banshee. Drops them around a warthogs length apart from eachother. It doesn’t lock on and shoots at a 45 degree angle from the ghoul( shooting down.).
Strengths:More durable then the banshee.Incredibly powerful against land units, especially vehicles. Able to hover in one spot( unlike the banshee.)
Weaknesses:No flips. It has no defense against other air units unless there is a gunner in which case defense is limited.
Specific Weakpoints: It’s belly is weak. The gunner is exposed.
These are some fantastic ideas guys I’m liking the ones that are based off the Ghost, would be very good for scouting. But does anybody think they can come up with any ideas based off the Shadow from Halo 2? There is a challenge for you
Name: Lich
Nicknames: The Licker/Lichen (not really sure if you need a nickname for lich)
Size: Somewhere around the size of a hornet or falcon
Speed: Slower than a falcon by a fraction, but will obviously have a short boost which will bring it up to a boosting banshee speed albeit for a limited and shorter period.
Crew: A pilot and 2 passengers (Possibly a third passenger who could guide bombs onto targets)
Armamant: A weak-ish beam or bomb that has great force like the concussion rifle (If there is a rear passenger then the two sideseat passengers will have a focus rifle type turret or if there is not then they will just be riding with what they have.
Weaknesses: Two passengers are very exposed, and too much damage taken to the thrustes will result in a temperary engine shutdown for about 2 seconds.
Particular weakness: Thrusters.
Name: H-360 Nickname: Guise Size: 3 meters from side to side and half meter from botom to top. Speed: a bit slower than the falcon. Crew: a driver and a pasanger that Armament: A emp bomb that the driver has control over, it can only be dropt not shot, a plasma turret, it can only be fired backwards. Strengths: if you collaburate whit your people on the ground you could take out armament easely with a emp bomb and under it it has a sheild that takes a while to get thought if you doesnt have explosive. Weakness: from above the gunners/passengers head is viseble and there is a (if you think of the banshee the thing that closes when you get in it). you can shoot that of and get a clear shot on the driver. no armery in the front. Specific Weakpoint: it has four engine on each corner if one of them breakes it gets harder to control and so on. Looks:

The Vampire - The Vampire, for those who dont know, is a flying anti air vehicle from the covenant’s side in Halo Wars. It is armed with a heavy needler designed for air-to-air combat. It can be upgraded to fit a stasis beam, a beam weapon that drains enemy hitpoints and regenerates its own. It looks like this. I think that it should be a 3 man vehicle, the main pilot in the middle turret/cockpit controls the turret in relation to the direction the vehicle flies in much similar to the controls of the scorpion. The other 2 pilots are optional and enter the side pods (bulges beside the plasma turrets on the wings) as both passengers and may have the ability to operate the plasma turrets. These may need to be changed for balancing purposes. It would be slightly slower to the banshee and not have a boost ability. Either that or have a weak and small boost with slow regeneration. The size, i estimate, would be about twice that of a banshee.
In terms of combat, it would be the best against other aircraft. To make it balanced, it would not track infantry or ground based vehicles with its heavy needler. The output of the side plasma turrets would be equivelent to a single shade turret (in other words, the shade turret has dual plasma cannons, each vampire PT is a singular). The heavy needler would maybe fire slower than the conventional needler but have bigger needles and do much more supercombine damage. The supercombine would have explosive results on other vehicles. It would have a sort of cool-down system that regenerates by the needler reloading its spikes automatically. Note that it does not have ammo, but rather just reloads spikes when they are all used up, like infinite ammo but not bottomless clip.
In terms of armor, i am not sure what would be balanced, but in my opinion, it would be a bit stronger than the banshee. I also think the vehicle sheilding system* mentioned later should be in effect, similar to most other covenant vehicles. Also, with all vehicles, it should not be vulnerable to conventional arms fire. Only explosives, ordinance etc. should work. There may be exposed crew (ghost pilot, falcon gunners etc.) in which case it is fine, but dont make the same mistake reach did. Armor is supposed to beat infantry, not the other way around.
It needs to be in all game modes. If it must be nerfed, so be it, just let us have un-nerfed versions in customs and forge.
Size: about twice as big as a banshee (about 4-6 times bigger than the cockpit) (shaped like a rectangle with a chunk out the middle and as high as a banshee and the pilot sits at the back in a compartment)

Armament: twin plasma cannon at front and drops a constant energy beam down the side of the craft (like a scarb beam that comes out a side compartment similar to a spirits personal compartments (when pressing the same button that would use a fuel rod if it where a banshee)), when shot down by anything that isnt explosive the controller can use it as a suicide craft and a shield powerful enough to survive 1 explosion or overcharged plasma pistol shot and there is a sepertate shield 2x as powerful for the pilot who is exposed)
Strengths: can take out anything (except heavily armourd vehicles) that gets under its beam

Weaknesses: weak plasma cannons, in-accurate weapons (except the ram), weak (about half as armoured as a banshee when shields are down), dosent have shields where the plasma cannon or the bombs come out (when firing)
, takes about 3 seconds to open a pannel and fire the beam giving exposed time to be shot and if the pilot is shot before the aircraft goes down it just blows up.

Armament: 2 shade (on the belly and top for gunners), a twin plasma cannon (for the driver) and a heavy shield
Strengths: a shield that can withstand a scorpian shot or two before the shield goes and can transport troops fast
Weaknesses: the gunner is outside the shield and can be shot easily with little cover but if a gun is distroyed the shields maximum is +10% unless both are destroyed which is -10% from original, overcharged plasma pistols permanantly emp the craft if its shot down from the air so it will never recover, while boosting deactivates the shield and also for 1 second after exiting boost and the lower gunner is also the landing gear so if it is destroyed the ship may take some landing dammage (about 1/6 of the shield or equivelent) .
Particular Weakspots: gunners, sides or anywhere after boosting
Armament: overload (not really a weapon but speeds the pod up even more but when it lands it has a chance to kill or wound the player (overload to be used when locked on by a rocket or under fire))
Strengths: speed
Weaknesses: no weapons or defenses and after 1 use it will not work unlesss you use the overdrive if overload is not used the pod will blow up 1 minute after use same when used but in half the time
Specific Weakpoints: anywhere
its really just a drop pod that you get into select where you want to go on the map and itll fly up into the air get you there fast but is weak if hit
armament: two mini ggun plasma shoter and 2 fuel rod cannons and can turn in visable for 30 secs 45 sec cool down
and has 200% damage resisitant shield 1 min cool down and can boost
strenghtness: high speed invisable
weakness: engine at the back can do 360 and stuff can be seen by the spartan laster and aimed lscoped lock on weapons
