Lockdown:
(modified Infection gametype)
(this was sorta molded after Alien vs Predator games where there are a group of Marines, in a dark map trying to kill all the aliens)
Infected:
-Armed with sword and modified Plasma pistol with a 110% firing speed nerf and cannot be charged
-Sword stays the same
-Infected are armed with a modified PV, which can be used indefinitely, but while in use, emits a faint hissing sound, and drawls a small, fain red light towards the user while in use, this PV also has a limited range, and is used for scouting and to SEE in the darkness
-Infected also have a passive WEAK active Camo, which will turn itself off if a flashlight is shined onto the infected player
-assassinating a survivor will convert them to your team
Survivors:
-Armed with Modified Assault rifle with a toggle flashlight and a 40 round clip
-and a magnum with a smaller toggle flashlight that covers less area and glows less
-flashlight on both weapons is used as a battery charge, and when said charge is depleted it requires about 20 seconds to recharge before it can be used again at all (meaning, DON’T WASTE IT)
-NOTE: Keep in mid that firing the weapon will emit a faint source of light or a split second, so if you don;t have enough battery light left, but you have ammo, you can just fire a few bursts off to see if the coast is clear
-sprint obviously
-a modified radar that works like a modern radar with a twist, halo’s standard radar will make the survivors’ job’s too easy if they know where the enemy is at all times, so instead of hvaing a corcular scanning beam that constantly checks the staus of units, the radar will be converted into a simple Single-beam radar
here is what a normal radar looks like
with a single beam circling the entire radar once every about 3-4 seconds
but the NEW radar, will have a beam that covers the ENTIRE DIMATETER of the circle, providing twice the coverage! (it will still have a 25 meter range)
now, even that kind of radar cannot help ALL the time, so i also thought about adding a n AUDIO cue into the device,
-if the beam makes an entire circumference of the circle without scanning any hostiles, it will emit a low pitched beep
-if however the sweep happens to find a hostile, the radar will emit a high pitched beep as soon as a target is scanned with the beam
-NOTE, Allies will appear as yellow Dots when scanned, while hostiles will appear as Red Dots, keep in mid that a high beep will not play is an ally is scanned, also keep in mid that the dots WILL DISAPEAR a few seconds after it has been scanned
Gametype:
-simple…sort of
-The objective of the Infected is to kill all survivors
-The objective of the Survivors is to survive as long long as possible
-All maps will be in a nighttime environment with low visibility, or in a dark ship-like environment
-The Infected will spawn in sewer-like places, or in confined dark rooms
-The Survivors will spawn in a standard base-like structure of bunker-like room, with turrets and ammo refills with some nice lighting
Now you may be asking, whats not to get that the Survivors will just sit in their little base and shoot down any infected that try to get them
here is the answer that make this gametype epic IMO
the base will be POWERED by a small GENERATOR in the back of the base, that has a LIMITED power level, once the power in the generator goes out, all base lights will shut off, and the turrets will be disabled
now you may be asking, how can the survivors SURVIVE once the power goes out?
they can do ONE of TWO choices:
1)they can Go to a <mark>POWER FACILITY</mark> on the map which is located VERY CLOSE to the INFECTED’s spawn, but not exactly there
because of it’s location, one man will have a tough time getting power by himslef
-when the power station is reached, you will see an ammo refill, and some faint lights that may or not be flickering
-to collect a power supply, you need to find the area where it says “Hold X to Collect power supply”
-it will take about 2-3 seconds to collect a power supply, KEEP YOUR GUY COVERED
-once the power is collected, they player that collected the power will have a small blue lit orb on his thigh, this orb is obviously the power supply, it will emit a STRONG source of light, witch is both it’s strength and weakness; you can see alot more with it, but infected will be able to find you easier
-also, the player carrying the Power supply will move at 50% normal speed, so KEEP HIM COVERED
-Once you get back to your base…IF you get back, go to your generator and hold X to use the supply, it will take a few seconds to activate it
-once you activate it, your base will come online again
-KEEP IN MID, the power supply does not last for ever, you will need to go out for a new one in about 5 or so minutes depending on the game
Maps:
the first Map which i would call: Lockdown, like the name of the gametype
-it will consist of an abandoned ship that’s all darkified
-one base, one power sation
the second will will be Conscript (or something)
-it will be an old military base nice OPEN space
-one base with a warthog next to it
the warthog’s headlights will help you alot here, and having a person with flashlight on in the rider’s seat spotting targets can DRASTICALLY help out your gunner!
-it will have a large base, and TWO power stations
