Create a Campaign Level!

If you were handed the ability to create a campaign mission for the next Halo game, or add a new one to an already existing Halo game, how would it be? Feel like this would be a cool thing to try seeing as we have so many “What’s your spartan’s history?” and “Create a UNSC or Covie ship!” threads.

Name? Tether

Where would it be? Unknown Insurrection control planet

What enemies do you face? Jul’s Covenant faction + Prometheans

Are there allies or is the main character on their own? Insurrection forces

What is the objective? Defend the city’s space elevator from Covenant

What vehicles are given for you to use? Mantis, Warthog, Ghost

How does the level warp up and continue the story? UNSC Infinity appears and attacks the cruisers over the city, they’ve finally found Chief.

Summary: The level starts off on a ride down a space elevator on a city under control of Insurrectionist with the Chief and a group of Insurrectionist riding down a space elevator, towards the end of the ride, since those things have really long rides and starting from the beginning would take more then an entire level’s worth of time. Suddenly, just before the ride ends, several Covenant Lich and Phantom dropships attack as three CCS-class battlecruiser exits slispace over a nearby city. Screams and chaos can be heard over the radios in the complex and Chief’s COMs. You exit the lift and are greeted to a firefight between elites, grunts, jackals, and Indies. With your help, they push the Covenant back from the central complex of the tether when Promethean Knights show up suddenly and begin to attack. This is the first part of the level.

You clear out the Knights and exit the complex to the artificial island the space tether is built on, starting the next checkpoint. A scientist, acting as the Cortana/Del Rio/Foehammer/you get the point he speaks to you throughout the level, stating that although your kind isn’t usually welcome, they’ll let it slide given the situation and summons a stolen mantis for you to control. Two stolen UNSC Quad Walkers, look them up, also appear to help as well as groups of Indies and two stolen warthogs. You start to fend off a few waves of Phantoms and Banshees as well as Promethean and Covenant ground forces. Think the last point of Infinity when you are defending the MAC.

The last checkpoint shows up signaling the last part of the level. After enough enemies have been killed, two Lich fly overhead and begin to attack. The Indies send you to destroy one of them while the Quad Walkers attempt to destroy the second one. You must board a banshee and shoot at the engines in the back of the Lich to damage it for the first part. After the engines have been damaged enough, the Lich slows down and you board it. You destroy the core jump off and back onto the complex and the Lich crashes into the water. The second one however, destroys the Quad Walkers after taking a few hits and leaves. A warthog drives up to you and tells you to drive. You get on the Warthog and begin to chase the Lich as it flees. You chase it to the highway linking the island to the city where Covenant blow it up before you can cross, trapping everyone on the island. The level ends and the Infinity exits slipspace over the city and engages the battlecruisers. The UNSC have found Chief.

This would probably go better in the General Discussion Forum. The Universe forum is strictly for discussing the lore.

Yeah I noticed that after I made the thread. Let’s just say there was cursing and headbanging.

Bust in unyeilding hierophant from first strike and destroy it

Name? Path Kethona

Where would it be? Chief would be stationed on a flood-infested Star road within an unidentified solar system of the Large Magellanic Cloud (Path Kethona). Lots of decaying Precursor and Forerunner ships dating back to the Forerunner-Precursor war would be seen in the skybox. There’s hallucinogenic flashbacks which located at numerous places the Chief has been in his life, as reality and Chief’s imagination begin getting blurred.

What enemies do you face? Various flood forms, along with other enemies the Chief has battled though his life (in hallucinations only).

Are there allies or is the main character on their own? Only in hallucinogenic flashbacks.
What is the objective? Fight off numerous waves of enemies with all of the means provided. You receive new weapons and vehicles in flashbacks.

What vehicles are given for you to use? Practically all of them. But they’re restricted to the flashback segments.

How does the level warp up and continue the story? The Gravemind has captured Chief and plans to corrupt him as he did with the Ur-Didact. As the Gravemind is mentally torturing Chief and revealing the truth behind the Precursors and flood, John attempts to escape his agony by remembering key moments in his life. Momentarily, flood combat forms turn into covenant and Prometheans, and chief hears the cries of those he failed to save. They then freakily morph back into flood as the reality dawns on him. He can only get out of this and tell us the horrors behind the Flood by finding a Precursor artifact.

Chief takes command and sends Locke & team so locate the Ur-Didact. Chief sets out to assist the Arbiter while on the path to retrieving Halsey.

How does the level wrap up and continue the story: I’d like to think that this would be an epic amazing finish to halo 5 and that YOU GUYS should post what you think it would do to affect the story as i have far to many ways for it to go. Hope you enjoyed the idea.
