Make the ranked gameplay of Reach, exactly like the gameplay of Reach.
I know, revolutionary.
Nobody is playing Arena anyways, why not give it to the people that actually like Reach and its gameplay?

Hmmm. I wouldn’t mind losing TU as long as loadouts stay the same as they are.
But if its all the armor abilities you are suggesting should be brought to Arena, then I can dig it… As long as we keep TU.
One or the other would feel just fine to me. What’s more important to me, would be to make the “ranked” playlist the most rewarding playlist for the winning team. Really give players that extra incentive to win. It would make sense that the best place to “rank up” would be the “ranked” playlist

A premium credit payout for Arena games would defiantly help. But I would like to see it based on an individual performance emphasized system as apposed to the W/L system it currently has. And I think the TU offers a little tipping of the scales in favor of the more traditional gameplay offered by Halo, so I say maintain the TU in Arena. Eliminate Super Slayer and I think you have a solid population boost and potential longevity for the playlist.
As it stands now, going in without a team almost assures defeat and destruction. I think this discourages individuals from participating.
In the end Im not sure what 343 is willing to do, if anything. They seem a little busy with their baby and I dont see that changing in the near future. Its a shame though, because Reach could have some longevity if handled correctly. It defiantly offers alternative gameplay to Halo 4, as does Halo 3, which could use some attention too.

Don’t mean to be rude, but isn’t that “definitely?”
As much as I love team play, gonna have to agree with you. My arena team has been utterly shattered/scattered between H3, H4, Reach, and other games. Meaning even though I love arena, I will be unable to rank up by winning. Hell. I recorded games where I score higher than any one on the other team, so they rank up and I don’t? Pretty much forces me out of Arena.
I think adding credit bonus would be a safe place to start though. If it brings population back, rebuilding teams may not be as troublesome. But if incentives alone don’t do the trick like they used two… Then losing W/L ranks and going back to Ratings seems to be the next logical step.

Definitely.
