Why does it take like a full minute to recharge shields in arena???

Maybe stop -Yoinking!- sprinting like a Ret-ar-dd since shields dont recharge when you sprint
When your shields go down, you’ll see a thin yellow bar above them that drains from right to left. When this bar is gone, your shields will recharge. However, if you sprint even for half second, the yellow bar will reset itself. Don’t always sprint.

I mean you are right on why it takes forever for shields to recharge

Re-ta-rd… stupid 343 censoring me
I didn’t notice the shield recharge delay right away myself, and thought it was a long recharge time. But I’ve only played one match (Warzone) so far and it eventually clicked. I think that’s probably going to be a really cool choice - do I sprint out of danger, or try to hunker down behind cover to get my shields back first?
Even though I remember hearing about shields not recharging while sprinting but it still took me like 5 games to remember it was a thing.

It took me longer. I could not for the life of me realize what the deal with my shield was.
Don’t sprint and you will be ok
