The other day, I spent some time looking through the commendations.
Afterward, I realized that it would take much longer than I expected.
Some of the commendations are plain crazy!
For example, Weapons Mastery requires players to master every weapon, including grenades and turrets.
I myself have only masterd the DMR and Shotgun.
I can’t imagine how long it’ll be before I’ve mastered everything.
Especially considering I have to get 940 kills with a Plasma Pistol!
There’s also Perfection Mastery.
I know a fellow forum-goer has just posted about achieving this.
Congatulations on doing so!
I’ve only gotten two Perfections so far.
Anyways, what are some other crazy commendations?
I know a few more, but I’ll let you guys answer.
Also, how long do you think it will take you to achieve the Weapons Mastery commendation?
I’ll probably never get it. There’s no way I could get enough Plasma Pistol kills. Perfections would be the only one that’s harder.
Another crazy Commendation is Pulse Grenade kills. I’ll get there eventually, but it’s not easy to get kills with them. I only just maxed out Stickies and I use them all the time!

The best you can do is getting a rocket or inciny cannon on them, unless you can have the skill to laser them. And even then, how often does someone ride the mongoose?

Try using them in KotH. Along with Explosives and Grenadier, they’re pretty useful. I think I’m on Expert right now.
EDIT: Yup, Expert with 36/75. I’ve got more kills with Pulse Grenades than the Needler.

Spartan Laser, Plasma pistol, and the pulse grenade are the ones that’ll elude me for a big time. I don’t even know how I got 2 laser kills o.o;; Non weapon ones. Perfection… That… will never… happen. I’ve gotten close. Only one game did I manage 13 kills and no deaths…
Bleh. I do see the oddball commendations, as well as the other Dominion ones. Oh how I hate them.

Mine too! You can still play it occasionally in Crimson DLC, but it’s not as fun. They have to bring it back eventually since there are Commendations tied to it.
Depends, if you spent a week deliberately losing as many matches as you could, your true skill would decrease immensely, and you’d get to face all the terrible players.
Then you just go into objective, and farm weapon kills while ignoring the objective. Your team continues to lose, and you continue to get worse and worse players.
Even against terrible players who would die from stormrifles, it would still take several months to get each weapon completed, in part due to the -Yoink!- randomness from the ordnance drops.
I already completed the UNSC loadout (play SWAT for pistol kills and whenever they bring FFA back you can really clean up with the AR.) I’ve been really going for pulse grenade kills the past few days, finally reached Expert level then find out I need 250 more kills to completely master it. The PP comm. is gonna take forever. Whenever I see an AFK’r I kill him with the PP

I don’t like Crimson Harvest is ok but the other two are poop IMO.

Not nessessarily, I’ve had perfections where I didn’t camp just because I was playing -Yoinking!- terrible people who couldn’t aim for -Yoink-. Happened when I was playing with one of my newb friends, so he decreased the team’s trueskill, thus giving us easier opponents.
If there is one way at getting an easy win, it is bringing in some Lv10 with a KD of .5. Game calculates the true skill of the entire team, and you wind up with pitiful opponents.
Harvest is ok but the other two are poop IMO.
