Many people were wondering what the difference between the Crawler Snipe and the ordinary crawler was. I had already noticed this difference sometime ago so I just want to point it out:
at 6:43 and 6:50 of this spartan ops gameplay You can see a craweler snipe shooting a special kind of weapon. It seems like a charged weapon with a fast beam - similar to the railgun.
The ordinary crawler shoot boltshots only.

No, the crawler snipe is simply a variation of the promethean enemy, the crawler. The binary rifle is a weapon. I was showing the difference between the ordinary crawler and the Crawler Snipe (not a sniper weapon, its the Name given to the type of crawler).
The term “sniper” derives from the word “snipe”, which was a fictional bird that old people would tell young people about as ‘a rare bird I saw the other day, now go find it and stop bugging me kid.’ Thus, sending the kids on a hunt for something that doesn’t exist. Coincidentally, scientists later discovered a type of bird that was good at hiding, and named it a “snipe”.

No, you misunderstood him. He means that he thinks those Crawler Snipes are using Binary Rifles, which are sniper rifles, which I too believe those Crawlers are using.

I actually thin it’s something different than the Binary Rifle, as it appears to charge up and doesn’t OHKO.

Anyway, the original video is pretty old, and this was spotted back when it was uploaded. If you watch a little longer one of the Promethean Knights has a Binary Rifle, and it shoots the same type of rounds.
