Hey folks.
If you’re like me, you’ve been a long-time Halo player, but ended up sticking with Reach instead of moving on to Halo 4.
Reach has a bunch of awesome DLC maps that seem to have been woefully underutilized and I’d desperately like to play them, but some almost never pop up in matchmaking anymore. I’m talking Tempest, Breakpoint, Highlands, and other awesome maps.
I’ve been following Bungie and Halo closely every since Halo: CE, but even I know longer know whether or not these maps even have a chance of popping up in matchmaking anymore (<mark>—as far as I’ve searched, I can’t find an official list that shows the gametypes/maps possible on each playlist—</mark>: scratch that, I found one here.).
Anyway, I want to play these maps badly! So I’m wondering if anyone knows the best way to do so? Is there some playlist I don’t play where they tend to pop up more often? I generally find myself in Double Team, Team Slayer, Multi-Team and Big Team, and haven’t seen one of the aforementioned maps in ages (sometimes the earlier DLC maps like Anchor 9 pop up in Double Team, and Battle Creek occasionally).
Or maybe there’s a group of players out there who run seriously custom games on these maps?
I’ll post my gamertag to the DLC list thread. If anyone has any other suggestions, I’m all-ears.
