Crashing, Optimization, and Geometry stretching

I don’t have access to hardware accelerated scheduling, my GPU doesn’t support it.

I play on PC and Series X and they both crash all the time. In the middle of ranked games or in campaign; it doesn’t care.

I didn’t have any issues until the new playlists came in.

Open the event viewer in windows and check the application logs for an error when the crash occurs.
Submit a support ticket with the error details. Probably a fault with the use of kernelbase.dll?
If you use HDR try disabling that in windows.

Anyway, as I’m sure you’ve guessed, the performance issues I’m experiencing are unusual and many people with AMD GPUs have had similar issues.

Thanks for the help. Will do. The biggest slap to the face over the whole thing is that I reinstalled the Steam version and it runs just fine. Can’t access the campaign on that client through gamepass, though, and even if I did drop the money the campaign saves won’t transfer over.

I know it’s widespread unfortunately. Just thought of some things that might have helped getting it to a stable 30 on the OS side of things. Here’s to hoping they manage to push out an improvement before the holidays.

No problem at all. Event Viewer is in general a good way of ruling out potential issues for crashing apps. Helps you track down faulty drivers, devices etc.

Two days now and no response. How long does it take them usually?

it’s 2 days to christmas, there must be a skeleton crew there atm

Having the same issue. Have submitted a ticket to hopefully help get more attention on this. Was working fine for me until today. Not sure what changed on my PC, nothing that I am aware of. Same issue via Steam or the Xbox App. Event Viewer spits out this mess:

Dude with those specs you can easily hit 144hz. I’m on 1440p on 1070ti / i7-4770k 4.5Ghz getting 144hz. Drag the downscale slider low as it will got and turn off HD textures, this will stop the crashes. As for campaign there is a known memory leak, no tips for extended play times.

Sadly it looks like AMD did their older cards dirty on the optimization front

I’m also getting the geometry nodes glitch, seems to randomly occur on certain players’ characters, certain scenery elements and certain weapons I’m using or have dropped. I didn’t get this at all a month or two ago when j was primarily playing the campaign, but get it almost every day on multiplayer now

have you tried downgrading drivers?

I would advise you to download multiple drivers. Install them one by one and check the performance then. Because some of them perform better than maybe the new ones or maybe the old ones

FWIW this sorted itself out for me at some point
