Crackpot idea

So I just realized something comparing 343 and bungie, and this is what I thought, if bungie released halo 1 on the same date halo 4 had with the same everything you could say that it would have had a bad review like halo 4 has had, now if bungie released halo 2 when halo 5 was suppose to be out people would have the same reaction they would like the new changes and some would hate it and they would have something to say about chief and arbiter missions. Which then got me thinking does that mean at this rate if 343s halo 4 is basically halo ce and halo 5 is basically halo 2 does that mean we are going to get a good halo 6 since it could be like halo 3, and halo 7 like reach?

Don’t take this thread too seriously its random for a reason

Good observation! I think it’d be great if that’s how it all goes. Parallelism.
I imagine the Reach-like game would be a prequel game like reach was to the first trilogy. Maybe Halo: Blue team(the missions Blue team did outside the current series)?
Here’s hoping 343i doesn’t muck-up the story with too much stuff. The KISS strategy would work so well for them right now. Recently they seem to be over-complicating things.

Love the idea of Halo: Blue Team and it would really increase the lore for people who didn’t read the books. But what do you mean by KISS strategy?

Technically, it’s the KISS principle. It stands for Keep It Simple Stupid ( KISS principle - Wikipedia ). I mean, Throwing all the complicated twists just for twist sake. For instance, The Warden Eternal - As much as he made sense as an enemy, he had never been mentioned before, and the campaign would have played better without his existence. I feel like he was just made for the game. He was an added non-essential element that took away from the overall enjoyment of the campaign.

Well if the pattern holds, here’s to the possibility of an amazing spiritual successor to ODST post-Halo 6. By which I mean a campaign-based game made in 12-18 months using Halo 6 assets to tell a great story with gameplay that tweaks the normal Halo formula.

How about this: you play as a Sangheili infiltration team selected by the Arbiter himself. Set just before and or during the Halo 5 campaign, you land on a planet that once hosted a prominent Sangheili colony in pre-covenant times, hoping to find allies to join their ranks now that the Covenant has fallen. Instead, you discover the planet hosted a Forerunner research installation devoted to learning about the Precursors, in hopes such knowledge would lead to a viable defense against the Flood. You must fight a combination of Flood and Sentinels to escape, and find a way to seal or destroy the installation all while learning what you can about the Precursors. (Whom the Sangheili have no prior knowledge of)

I mean halo 5 did have a cliffhanger ending just like halo 2

I absolutely love the Sangheili team idea. Perhaps headed by the duo we could play as in Halo 3 - N’tho 'Sroam and Usze 'Taham. Would make sense to me.

Thanks for clearing that up

And the Plot thickens!

This just made me see, halo ce and halo 4 started with chief on a ship in cyro, he woke up one mission on the ship then the ship is gone, and the end of it was hes on a ship flying off all seems good and he takes off his helmet. Halo 5 and 2 both have new players that start mid mission fighting to a high up sangheili arbiter was fighting the heretic leader, locke was fighting Jul 'Mdama and like you pointed out it had a cliffhanger ending with cortana working with the other side and doesn’t have chief.

If 343 is smart they will listen to the feedback from the comunity.

Well 5 was just a bad story, but I see where you come from. The main problem there is the lack of Chief in the game. I wouldnt mind playing as Locke if it was only a little. But I noticed the correlation too. Chief will fight with Locke like Arby and Chief and 3. Also the start of CE and 4 are on a invaded ship. Dont want to go to deep cuz thats a lot of work but you get the point.

No everything theyve “listened to” was preplanned. All these updates were prepared before and at launch

Even the bug fixes, increase to weapon despawn time, reweighted vehicles, changed req costs and map rebalances?

Interesting thought. I do think that Halo 6 will be a much stronger game than Halo 5 mostly because Halo 5 was running on a new engine and they will have already had a test run with it.

Halo 6 will be amazing we saw alot of new elements in 5 such as free roaming, basic abilities, thick story which thry have alot of room to play with.

Illuminati confirmed*

343 can’t do cliffhangers as good as Bungie confirmed*
