I have a problem with my halo reach. From the common use of the game, and the halo reach case. My disc has been cracked. I’ve played it for about a years time or less, and within that time my disc has slowly gotten worse from the beginning where the crack started.
Halo Reach is one of my favorite games of all time, though most think of it as a broken game. I really enjoy the forge properties and the multiplayer gameplay. So I deeply wish something could be done about this. I personally bought the Legendary edition halo reach after it came out, then my Xbox broke back then. So when I bought a new Xbox some 1-2years later I bought this current halo reach disc. So I didn’t have all my legendary edition items, because I was only allowed to use them once. That was upsetting enough, but now I can’t play halo reach at all.
I really wish somehow I could speak to somone about this, and find out is it my fault? Or the game cases fault for the crack beginning. I am a frequent player, and haven’t done anything out of the ordinary. I don’t take it out and put it back in the case daily. What I would really wish to happen is to be able to get the game replaced, but that probably won’t happen. I will be getting the halo 4 Xbox around Christmas time, but I would still prefer to play halo reach at times. Halowaypoint, I’m not putting anyone to blame for my disc breaking. I’m just disappointed that a item which costs $65 is useless now.
Question#2:
I’m not sure if anyone knows for sure about this or not.
I do have the legendary edition halo reach, I have all the stuff that came with it still. After I bought it my xbox(old version) got red ring of death. So I didn’t have a Xbox for about a year or so. Then when I got a new one I wasn’t able to use the flame helmet or elite armor. I was pretty upset then because I wasted $150 on the whole thing particularly for those things. I still have the codes, statue and everything. So my question, is any of the codes still tangible? Can I reuse them in anyway? Or are they just wasted?
I don’t know where you live, making this question hard for me to answer, but in Europe, you can go to a local ‘Gamemania’ store, and get the disc polished, this will fix it. I did this twice, actually, and it worked great. the only con is the fact that it costed me €5,-. But: if you actually like this game it may be or may not be worth it.
Also: on Xbox Live, a code gets refused after using it twice.
Example: I got a free game download with my Xbox, and it refused it thanks to my horrible internet connection. When i retyped the code it told me that it was already used.
So, my conclusion is that i feel sorry for you Bro…
My Reach disc cracked too, making it unplayable but still being able to be detected as Halo: Reach by my Xbox. I tried borrowing a friend’s Reach disc and installed Reach onto my Hard Drive, and now Reach runs perfectly fine - even off of my old, cracked disc.
Its the game case that cracked it. Those xbox 360 games cases are awful and crack the games. i’ve broken about 3 games because of the cases. Just buy a new game, i dont think you can fix cracked games.
> Can your Xbox read any part of your Reach disc?

> 1st off thank you very much for your input. This is additional information that might help you in figuring out my options.

> -The circle ring of my disc that sets on the game case is cracked all around, and I have a crack in the disc.

Can’t you just go to your download history and find those two DLC’s and just re-download them?

This!
I wish I came up with this!
It indeed is recommended you do this, as if you logged in with the same account you had on the older Xbox 360!
I’ve had two copies now crack and become unplayable, luckily replacement copies are semi-cheap to find. You can avoid this problem by making sure you are pressing the game case button fully before pulling the disc out, or store your games in a CD wallet like I do now.

So, actually, thanks to this comment, I do quite wonder how you take the disc out of your cover. It indeed is the case that, as most people know, you’re supposed to push that button in them middle ofthe disc?
