Seems like there has been a change to the amount of credits you get. Something is different. Anyone else notice?
I haven’t noticed any changes
Hopefully they lowered it so all the -Yoinks- will stop ruining the gametype by farming it constantly.

Yeah, I was hoping that as well but I think it was just random low cR for a couple games. Oh well

Oh, darn.
Haven’t played Grifball in ages. I miss it terribly but it’s not worth getting into if everyone is farming and not playing it like an objective gametype. Only way I think that would ever happen would be if stats from grifball were disabled/not recorded, like in custom games(?) If grifball didn’t count toward commendation progress/achievements/K/D ratio…

Thats a good point. So many reasons to cheat using the grifball playlist.
I think farmings ok, Reach has a ultra steep ranking up grind so it makes sense people look for other ways to grind. However, i don’t like it when people troll you. 60% of the time in Grifball someone will either target you the entire game and -Yoink!- you after every kill, or spawn camp you, just because you killed them once or try playing right. Its even worse when your teammates work with the other team and betray you (it happens no joke ;( ). Those kinds of people are just a-holes. Anyways, i understand how you guys feel. Id play the game mode normally too, but everyone is a farmer so i mostly just join in, it DOES get you alot of credits. You could try hosting a custom grifball game on Halo 5, because Reach has no customs browser or a Grifball game mode.

I remember one game a long time ago where three of the other team quit so it was us four vs one. It was obvious the three on my team were together and it ended up as one of them holding the ball while one assassinated the poor guy who didn’t leave no matter how long it went on for. On one occasion I yoinked an assassination and was betrayed for it. This was before the credit payout was handsomely increased. While I don’t mind an excessively drawn out grifball match so long as people just play hammer time, I do mind the stat padding. I’ve said it before, the only people who care about commendation progress are the people pushing them to the max.
As for the game mentioned above, once I respawned I betrayed my entire team, took the grif and scored. Had to do it again next round to prevent the abuse from continuing, and managed it.

But in reality, Farming/Boosting is not ok. It has been frowned upon by 343 Industries since the Warzone Farming situation back in 2015 where 343 Industries started issuing manual bans to people who did so. Back then, Ske7ch(Click Meh!) and B is for Bravo(Click Meh!) showed 343’s stance on it with that, which made it as far to gamestop headlines(Click Meh!). ZaedynFyl of 343 Industries recently also confirmed this and stated how when people can be reported for this, their LIVE account is tagged and the LIVE Enforcement Team can decide whether or not they want to issue a console ban (Click Meh and look at the post below it).
343 Industries has clearly shown they are against Boosting and Farming, so it is not ok and hence is cheating and is a reportable offense due to breaching LIVE Code of Conduct and Terms of Use due to using/exploiting an element of the game in a way not intended by the developer for personal in-game gain in a fashion that is not possible or at a rate not possible through normal, legitimate gameplay intended by the developer. This was confirmed as well by an Xbox LIVE Ambassador (Click Meh!). In Grifball, the Objective of the Objective Based Gametype is to Score the Goal with the Ball, not idling/‘Bagging’ up and down for 13+ Minutes or Spawncampkilling (Which is different from Spawntrapping); Camping the enemie’s Goal for the entire duration of the game to Statpad (Boost Kill to Death Ratio) and Boost cR and Commedations. If you can score the goal in Grifball, the objective of the objective based gametype, then why wouldn’t you?
You are entitled to your opinion, however it is wrong and is a reportable and bannable offense as I have shown. Code of Conduct and Terms of Use are not Suggestions, they are binding agreements you agreed to when you created your Xbox LIVE account in order to use LIVE services.
Since Bonnie Ross did state on Twitter that 343 Industries cares about Classic as well as New/Current Halo, this should be fixed by 343 Industries, having the Performance Bonus System Removed or set to a hard 0. Remove the method to cheat, Cheaters can’t boost. And people shouldn’t have to take matters to custom games if they want to play Reach Grifball due to cheaters essentially hijacking the playlist. They shouldn’t have to worry about their games being griefed and having the quality of the LIVE services they pay for hence degraded (Which is also against CoC and is a reportable offense) due to these cheaters doing the thing you mentioned where it turns into 5 vs. 3 or worse 7 vs. 1 just because people want to cheat and/or troll. Not everybody has seven friends who can consistently join up for custom matches, which is why the Matchmaking System exists in the first place.

Its cheating? I honestly had no clue, im sorry for being an idiot. I just saw it as a bug of sorts that wasn’t rule breaking. Thanks for warning me.

Sure thing, there was a thread a while back where a ‘debate’ happened where getting all of this information gathered help proved that it was.
I haven’t noticed because I’m not a fan of Griffball. I was the first couple times it was introduced in Halo 3, years ago, but I can’t stand it. It drives me nuts
