for a long time now Halo has had a snipers playlist, but what about the close range weaponry, for a little while in halo 3 there was a shwatguns which for me was an absolute blast but it wasnt a very popular gametype in the playlist, so what about all the close range weaponry now? i would like to see a CQC playlist with nothing but shotguns, swords, hammers and fast brutal carnage, no other guns at all, armor abilities could be debatable (no camo though). i figure if snipers can get their own playlist why not CQC too? sure the sniper rifle takes a bit more skill to use but nothing beats the rush of going toe to toe and ramming your shotgun down your opponents throat and blowing their guts out their -Yoink- In halo 3 there was a swords gametype that was extremely fun to play where you could come in quick and get a good kill or where you would get into a sword duel for a few seconds before cutting your opponent down, as for hammers they have never had an exclusive gametype (griffball does not count) and it would be fantastic to run around beating people to death with a huge hammer or even a golf club!
yea, there would be a bit of dual killing in the shotties game but then again if you play a lot of CQC in reach its fairly common (at least for me) im used to getting dual kills where me and my opponent both beat eachother to death, and IMO i think its funny as hell and it gives me a reason to search for that person to see if i can beat them the second time
> Grifball is a CQC playlist. But sword would be actually fun again in rumble pit or any other free for all playlist.
yea but its mainly objective, i want to see a slayer playlist with nothing but shotguns swords and hammers and not all in the same gametype, and in a map that isnt just a box

The shotgun would really dominate this gametypes. I think swords and hammers in a playlist with melee bleedthrough would be ideal.
Idunno, it sounds cool, but each weapon with its own game type? It would get a bit predictable I think, and putting it all together, Shotgun would just dominate.

Agreed, and no weapon pickups, because then people would just hide in a corner with their dmr or sniper. Normal slayer w/ assault rifle and plasma repeater start, shotgun slayer, sword slayer w/ sword and hammer starts, and maybe a gunslinger playlist with magnum and plasma pistol starts.
