First off let me say, i hate when people create numerous topics about halo sucking and unfair and stuff like that. but this, i feel is different.
you see i’ve had people talking in my ear for the run to halo 4 saying it’s just like COD and whatnot, but i felt reassured that it wouldn’t be like that and it wasn’t.
Until today, i have no idea why but halo suddenly feels different it’s was fast paced, it was crazy, it was mayhem. but now it just feels like i go into a game and shoot someone across the map, and i watch as everyone in the game shoots across the map and that’s boring. i can understand how the BR/DMR is the logical choice of weapon but shotguns/scattergun/sword are just useless unless you camp and stay off the radar.
halo feels distance like the rest of the players shooting at me across the map, once mighty scorpions and warthogs are killed off in a single shot hardly making a impact, maps that are supposed to be full of warthogs and ghosts simply aren’t either because there destroyed or nobody wants to die.
halo has changed like everyone wanted, but not for the better.
nope OP all the cqb weapons work just fine, its just not reach anymore where when you got a CQB weapon you were promoted to god hood simply cuz you can run through bullet fire liek they are shooting marshmallows at you.
> i just miss charging into a fight with a warthog i barely last 30 seconds
Warthogs are mid range power weapons. You need to stay mid range from infantry and always keep moving at full speed. Doing anything else and you are PP+sticky fodder.
CQC is far from dead. I use the AR almost exclusively as my starting weapon, and I can hold my own against BR and DMR users. I think that CQC is a more viable option in Halo 4 than it was in any previous title.
I wouldn’t say they’re dead at all. I see shotguns and scattershots dominating in slayer. Hell one game I got at least 10 kills in a row with the scattershot on abandon while running back and forth between the various levels of the two structures. You just can’t charge towards someone with them. Lead them around corners, quickly switch to your boom-stick, and put em down. I still have multiple times where I curse at my television because some guy stabbed me in the face with a sword.
