I’m sorry but it’s a sorry cowardly move if you ban someone because you get hit by a rockethog or any weapon that has an AOE. If someone is purposely trying to just betray you they’ll literally walk up to you and do it. Yet you can ban people just because your feelings get hurt from dying by an accidental hit. Like seriously do these kiddies not understand the difference between someone purposely betraying and you just dying accidentally cause you happen to be in the way. Like if this is all it takes then they need to turn off friendly fire.
Give people the opportunity and they will take it
Yeah, I was able to kick out a dude that accidentaly hit me with a Hog on Warzone, but on Arena a dude betrayed me to get my shotgun and I had to hit him and piss him off to make him betray me again in order to be able to kick him out, the banhammer is just senseless.
You can’t just program something for every situation. I usually betray people (on accident) with the plasma caster, with a stray grenade, or those exploding canisters on empire.
There is certainly a lack of honor in it. I was betrayed last night in Warzone and it was to no fault of the other player. The “betrayal” screen popped up and there was no way I could boot the guy.
If their malicious and intentionally betraying that’s one thing, if you boot someone due to an accident, you might want to do some soul searching in the mirror to discover why.
You have to understand the computer is programmed to hammer you for certain criteria,The machine only does what it’s programmed to do. It doesn’t know if you did it on purpose or it was an accident. If someone is raging because you took a weapon that he or she wanted that’s just the players lack of understanding the situation. Nothing can be done as far as the system works. It all has to do with the players discretion to know when a teammate made a mistake.
Perhaps we should all be required to be on a team of limited people that is already in place. I’m new to this, but I believe that its 100 players to a team. That way if a person on that team keeps showing that they can’t play fairly with others then they should be banned at the discretion of the team their on. Git rid or the ban hammer and change the way games are set up. Possible solution to the problem.

The caster’s a seriously imprecise weapon and its like your teammates are entranced by the glowing blue balls…

Just like the bugs that go to the light…
Well you can rest easy knowing those people will probably lose the game from being outnumbered. They get what they ask for.
I think of all the times I’ve been splattered by a team mate in warzone I got the option to boot once, which I didn’t because it was blatantly an accident.

Exactly. I cannot count how many times (sometimes repeated within a matter of seconds) I’ve been naded, rocketed, plasma’d, spartan charged, etc. by teammates unintentionally. I know it was an accident and CHOSE not to ban them.
You know, all of these problems, kicking people out for “betrayal”, quitting, etc. comes down to the INTEGRITY and SPORTSMANSHIP of the player.
We really need to have people act with a little more SPORTING behaviour: Definition—“fair and generous in one’s behavior or treatment of others, especially in a game or contest.”
People are -Yoinks!- Deal with it.
If we ban everyone then we can’t play anyone.
