I know it’s still early and the game is still being tweaked. I’ve noticed a ton of people talking about the BR and the DMR but barely any talk about the Covy Carbine. I don’t really know why as it looks pretty deadly to me.

well I have read somewhere that the carbine has the fastest kill times, to me this is kind of fair given it takes more shots to kill compaired to the DMR/BR. it will mean that you can outmatch players with BR/DMR but you’ll have to be more accurate than them in order to do so.
btw the carbine is looking -Yoink!-! anyone agree?
I remember an interview with a few of the MLG guys talking about their impressions with Halo 4’s multiplayer. In it, one guy said that another guy was raking up series of kill streaks with the carbine, and that it didn’t have bloom. So it looks like it shouldn’t be lost in the fold with the BR, DMR, and Light Rifle.
Yes,the carabine is the most powerful ATM.
Let’s see if 343i decides to chenge the BR to 4sk to make it the most powerful.
I am so excited to see the Carbine back. I fell in love with it Halo 3 It looks really good in Halo 4 but i think Hoaxer is doing a amazing job with it in gameplay. Yes you probably will have to be more accurate with it in order to beat a BR but it looks like it would be a fun weapon to use.
This is actually well balanced by the fact that while the Carbine seem to have the best DPS, it is limited by more shots(more properly aimed shots), and a more shallow magazine.
While the 5 shot DMR and Crosses Fingers for change 4 shot BR have a slightly slower kill time. They can more easily stay in the fight for longer Because of their larger mags.
So in a great player’s hands, like Hoaxer just demonstrated. The Carbine’s superior DPS gives it an edge against 1-2 players, The DMR and hopefully the BR will be more versatile and able to deal with multiple targets.
So at the moment it seems like the primary weapon are pretty well balanced.

I kinda hope they don’t change the BR. I have a feeling a ton of people will be using it just because it’s “THE BR”. I’ll gladly use the other weapons if they’re better.
The Carbine has always been my favorite weapon, this is fantastic! 
Oh man, The Carbine looks to be an absolute monster! With that kill-time.
Still though, I hope it isn’t “too easy” to use.
And I hope all utility weapons have a fair kill-time.

Yeah, I was watching some MLG vids and i noticed the carbine was DANGEROUS as hell.
Can’t wait to use it looks deadly.

I definitely see the carbine being the skilled player’s primary weapon of choice.
I would wait until the tweaks occur before we start looking at it. However, it definitely looks beast.
The carbine’s deadliest quality is its rate of fire, which is very high. It has weaker damage per shot than the BR and DMR, but makes up for that a high rate of fire. If its rate of fire was any slower, I think it would be under-powered.

Yeah the Carbine looks sick! If I’m force to pick though, for mid range combat, I’m still taking the BR right now. But we’ll see come Nov.
