I put this up to get my thoughts on the covie weapons sounds out there. In this i will give my thoughts on the weapon sounds and I will also compare them to the sounds of their counterparts. Here it goes:

Plasma Pistol: the sound was strange and rather foreign when I heard both the charged shot and the regular. It just didn’t sound like the beast weapon that Frankie made it out to be IMO. It’s not a terrible sound, but it certainly is far wonderful as well. It sounds better than the magnum, but only by a sliver.

Storm Rifle: absolute garbage. This weapons sound was very underwhelming, It didn’t seem like it was a terrifying covenant weapon. The plasma rifle sounded better, more alien and distinct. AR wins hands down in terms of sound quality and overall beastlyness.

Needler: sounded kind of metallic combined with air uncompressing. Not that bad, but kind of strange though.

Concussion Rifle: seemed like it was a little too quite for a grenade launcher style weapon. It did sound kind of cool, if 343 would increase it’s volume a little bit more then it would be perfect. It sounds better than the proximity detonator, but the railgun is definitely better in terms of sound.

Carbine: sounds a little wonky now that the gun has been slowed down(I liked the sound much better during the E3 build when the carbine was much faster). Compared to the DMR, light rifle, and BR, I would have to say it’s better sounding than the BR, but loses to the beastly DMR and the mysterious light rifle.
6)fuel rod gun: didn’t like it’s sound one bit, the dull thunk of the weapon seemed too clunky and made the weapon sound uninvigorating. The rocket launcher, even though it sounds like it’s an alien weapon, sounds better than the fuel rod gun and seems far more powerful(which it really is because the rocket does as much damage as three fuel rod rounds).

Energy Sword: didn’t really have that much sound to it, don’t mind it.

Gravity Hammer: doesn’t seem to have the “oomph” that the previous hammer had IMO.

Beam rifle: seemed kind of generic to me, it was nothing overly special. I don’t think if I picked this weapon up that I would feel incredibly powerful (as opposed to if i picked up the UNSC sniper or the forerunner binary rifle).
That is all the covenant weapons(except for the plasma cannon and the plasma grenade because we really didn’t hear those at all). again, these are all my opinions, I don’t expect everyone to agree with me. We are all entitled to our own opinions and views.
Note: I listened to the sounds using both tv sound and headphone sound(my headphones are better than turtle beach headphones, similar quality, subwooferlike bass). I know what everything will sound like in the best quality.
