I don’t see a trigger. I’m not asking for specifications, because I doubt anyone knows the technical data behind the mechanisms. I was wondering if the books elaborated on the issue.
Probably a holographic trigger like most things the Covenant use.
I would think they are pressure sensitive triggers.
Pressure sensors would make scents, so if you sqwisted* the grip it would fire the plasma rifle. Cool!

From what I have gathered with the Carbine and Halo 2 Beam Rifle, it looks like you twist the trigger mechanism instead of squeezing it.
