Covenant Warthog

If 343 were to add a new Covenant vehicle as a counterpart to the Warthog, would you rather it be the Revenant, or Spectre?

I would like a Spectre, but I would want it to have three variants:

-A normal Spectre to go with a normal Warthog.
-Spectre with a turret that shoots a weaker, red plasma mortar (like a Revenant) to go against the gauss hog.
-Fuel Rod Spectre to go against a rocket hog.

EDIT: If you chose multiple choices please specify in your post.

I would rather it continue to be non-existent as it has no need to be in the game. Those vehicles brought nothing to the table other than a boring sense of redundancy.

Canonically they exist of course.

Spectre. A Revenant is a ghost-wraith-mongoose crossbreed of an abomination. It would be WAY to OP’d. 1/2 the damage of wraith? The blinding light would simply allow you to strike again or simply splatter with your speed boost. And about the speed boost, it would simply make ghosts obsolete. I can just see it: REVENANT THE NEW MANTIS!!!

@ Dude who said they were not needed: What about a map made to be a covenant base? Say they stole a warthog??? I don’t think so. Also, the Spectre holds two passengers, a gunner and a driver. But in return it’s weaker. Does THAT sound like an unneeded Warthog variant?

how about the Prowler?

Specter enough said

Isn’t the Prowler just the brutes version of a Spectre?

Spectre master race.

Spectre. The Revenant was pretty much the child of the Wraith and Ghost.

I think its fine without one. Because you cant really say the Ghost is the counter part to the mongoose, or the warthog. I find the ghost to be a covenant mix of the Hog and goose, its fast, small, and nimble like the Goose, and can shoot other targets like the Hog.

ive picked spectre cause it still holds a special place in my heart from the last 2 missions you do as arbiter in halo 2 just sooo good =)

but id like all the vehicals back would be amazing to have more choice in custom and hopefully new maps (obviously not have ALL the vehicals on maps) but would be realy interesting seeing how different vehicals cause different play styles of the maps

But you can still use the Mongoose like a Ghost if the Mongoose has a passenger right? Especially if the passenger has a railgun, SAW, rocket launcher, or sticky detonator.

Double post. Sorry everyone.

I’d love to see the Revenant make a return.

I’d love to see the Spectre return, ans well as a troop transport hog that allows you to ride in the back.

Like this?

Revenant. I don’t really care just anything that makes Balance people lose their -Yoink-.

Spectre:

-decent traction
-flips a lot
-3 passengers
-lacks hover height and has a tough time getting up anything other than cliffs
-no armaments
-moderately fast
-looks alien but it’s not very imposing individually

Revenant:

-lacks traction
-unstable (largely because of Reach’s physics sending it flying all of a sudden)
-1 passenger
-decent terrain accessibility
-has armament
-fast
-is a terror on the battlefield in campaign

I think they’re both missing something. I prefer the Revenant due to all my bad experiences with the Spectre.

Spectre. Mainly because I just loved how it’s gun sounded, and when you loaded that thing up with teammates, it was great fun.

I like both, but I guess I’ll go with the Revenant. The Spectre isn’t much different from the Warthog, while the Revenant is a cool combination of the Ghost and Wraith.

I’d be fine with either one, though.

Wouldn’t you say the Spectre is also kind of like a combination of Ghost and Wraith?
