I was stoked to see this new gametype, because I want to fulfill the commendation for the plasma pistol and it’s about time they added some variety to SWAT.
I want to know:
Can you kill with one shot to the head with the plasma pistol in SWAT?
How many shots does it take to kill with the Plasma Pistol in SWAT?
Why the hell would you put a plasma pistol in SWAT without it being able to do headshots and/or kill with a charged shot?
It’s pointless to have the Plasma Pistol in SWAT if isn’t effective and doesn’t kill in one shot. Just call it Carbine SWAT, because no one uses the Plasma Pistol. Both Forerunner and Spartan Swat’s pistols kill with a headshot. Covenant needs to be the same…
No, you can’t kill with a head shot with the PP and neither it’s a one shot. Didn’t test it much, but I think you still need the usual 8 Bodyshots. Maybe it’s less, around 5-6.
This thing is useless in comparison to the Carbine in Covie SWAT.
Yeah, that is exactly my point. It’s useless in SWAT the way it is, so it shouldn’t even be IN SWAT. Call it Carbine SWAT because that is all players are going to use.
Make the shots it takes to kill low, say around 2 or 3 because the Carbine fires so fast, it’s not hard to land a headshot when you’re in a firefight with a Plasma Pistol user.
343, I urge you to take a serious look at ways to improve the plasma pistol in SWAT or come up with a different Covenant “Pistol” that can be used in SWAT. Perhaps a pistol version of the Carbine or something along those lines…
I tried using it to work on my Plasma Pistol commendation. Didn’t work so well. Maybe they should add a plasma pistol game of some kind to Action Sack.
Don’t forget the mongoose destroyer…ugh. Rocket Race might make this a possibility to achieve.
the only way I can see pp kills coming at the moment is by putting it in lightning ctf. thatway nothing drastic like a new game type would have to be done or any tuning
