If the Brute Plasma Rifle was able to make a comeback, why can’t the OG plasma rifle comeback? I miss the old blue sucker, found it much neater and unique compared to the bland overheating storm rifle.

How about they add the og plasma rifle but place it and its variants in the same weapon req category of the brute plasma rifle as they did for the rocket launcher and SPNKR.

That doesn’t fix anything. That only changes the organization of the REQs, not what you get.
I kinda want 343 to add the Plasma Repeater to troll everyone that wants the original Plasma Rifle.
Then make the basic Type-25 Plasma Rifle available as a Forge prop.

Then people will scream “343i doesn’t care about the Halo community” or something like that because they simply messed our eyes with the design of the Repeater between the Plasma Rifle.
If the blue plasma rifle behaved as its very first incarnation in CE where it slowed down enemy spartans, then it could come back, but the brute plasma rifle already fills the role of a shield eater as is.

The Elite Plasma Rifle should make a return. It would be a level 2 Req because it does deal less damage than the Brute variant. I would really love to see this added.
Performance-wise, the OG Plasma Rifle would be identical to the Storm Rifle.
It would be interesting, especially with brute weapons

As much as I love the Plasma rifle I gotta agree, the return of it and pretty much of anything now would just add to the already overflowing req pool. If they made all basic loadout REQs (BR, SMG, DMR) automatically unlocked and split the weapons and armour into separate packs then yeah by all means bring more weapons/vehicles back.

If they did they could make it the same REQ level as the third BrPR, albeit the blue one does have a slower fire rate it can fire for longer and maintain accuracy for longer, plus the fire rate climbs. With the stun effect it could be a viable power weapon in close quarters and because of its lower fire rate it could be buffed in comparison the BrPR. The Storm rifle kills in about 6 rounds (-Yoink!- me right?) The BrPR kills in around 12 but holds accuracy much better. So the Blue PR could kill between that somewhere.

Actually in H2/H2A the plasma rifles did the same damage, just the Brute one had a faster kill time because of the fire rate, plus according to lore, the brute one is actually weaker. Look in the Design details paragraph.
