All right I’ve played halo wars almost 450 hours. I know it’s not much for many of you but it’s the longest amount of time I’ve spent with one game. Yet I don’t know which of the covenant leaders is the best. Or is there one over the others?
I think that Prophet ot regret is the easiest to kill as you can easily block it with only one vampire.
Brute Chieftan: Fully upraged with no vetrancy stars, dies easy quick. However, if the brute chieftan is a 3 starr and fully upraged, he is the most powerful leader. So my adice is, if you are not going to gain stars dont play as him. I would give him 9/10 if he has 3 star, if not 5./10 becuase of his vortex power.
Prophet of Regret: If he is fully upgraed with multiple stars he can be a beast, destroying anything with ease with his cleasning beam and disappering really quickly. However, counter units like the wolvs and vampires make short work of him but his ability of flight makes him flexable, so i would give him out 8 out of 10 with 3 star, if not 5.8/10.
Lastly Arbiter. I would say his rage, if used effectivley can be devastating against air units, ground units and tanks. Though PT tanks make short work of him. However, arby has the ability to cloak, which allows him to go in enemy lines. 7.5/10 with 3 star, if not 5.5/10
So based on this if you want to go 3 star its: BC, POR, Arby
Brute/Prophet are best for crowd control but one is a ground unit other is flying. (through upgrades)
Arbiter I like the most anyway even though I don’t use suicide grunts. Maybe it’s the damage boost to units around him? Maybe it’s being 3 stars and performing a fatality in rage mode.
I’d say Prophet is best for rushing as he seems to move the fastest and can fly so it makes it quicker to rush in and deploy units to a destination unlike the others.
I guess it just entirely depends on how you play them.
To the post above me.
Arbiters survivability is great though with 3 stars unless you get disruption bombed.
It depends what you’re playing, for team games, the Arbiter is the strongest because he can chase down hogs with his Rage, suicide grunts are great for harassment and the fact that you have a team mate helps overcome his one main weakness in 1v1 which is that he runs out of money when raging. One or two clicks from your ally makes all the difference when raging. He’s best used at the end of a battle, get your ally to soften them up and then rage what’s left of their army.
The Brute is also a great choice in team games because the brute rush is very effective and he’s tough as nails. The Prophet is still a very capable leader, but is the weakest in team games because he’s the least effective against hogs, brutes do very well against hogs especially combined with Vortex and the arbiter can rage them, the Prophet doesn’t really have anything to deal with them.
In 1v1 though, the cost of Arbiter’s rage and the fact he struggles to get enemies out of hooks really go against him. The Prophet does a lot better in 1s and is the best covy leader for defending against another covenant rush, his ranged attack, shield, cleansing beam and honor guards are all excellent tools for an early defence.
The Brute is probably the best covenant leader in 1s because he’s a good all rounder and a well executed brute rush is, well, brutal. His vortex ability is great for clearing hooks and dealing large amounts of damage in battle too. Once he gets his gravity hammer upgrade at tech two, he’s very good at picking off tanks one by one, like a rock hard Gremlin

The prophet is terrible at rushing easily stopped. If your going for a rush you want the Arbiter or the brute chieftain
POR has the most efficient rush and is difficult to defend with proper resources. Arbiter rushes are weak and don’t set up an arbiter well for the mid game in most circumstances, nor will they outdamage a basic brute/ehg/gunner counterattack.
Arbiter is generally considered the most overpowered due to his rage ability being the cheapest power and it allows him to dodge most attacks while dealing a lot of damage.

No he doesn’t STOP SAYING THAT HE DOESN’T. have you ever seen a suicide grunt rush then switch to banshees its unstoppable if they don’t have vamps, gaus hogs or wovies.

Why are you talking about the stars? Of course every leader is beast with 3 stars. But who on earth turtles that long. Unless you only play for 1 game. But most other people who play to win knows every leader is good on different sides.
I play as the Prophet of Regret all the time even if he is vulnerable to Wolverines and Vampires. I just recall him to the base if he gets hurt and get him healed by engineers.

PoR is a monster in 2s as well. You just have to be up against a Cutter or a Forge or you’re screwed by the Gren.
