Covenant in Halo 4, Please Read and Answer

I thought that after the Prophets died, as well as the ending events in Halo 3, the Covenant broke up and were no longer refered to as the Covenant.

Of course, we don’t know everything that has happened in between Halo 3 and 4, but I know that Glasslands is supposed to tell about that.

Back to the point, if I was correct, shouldn’t they be under a different name other than the Covenant in Halo 4? I know that 343i said the Covenant specifically, but if I’m right, then they shouldn’t called the Covenant, unless they still have the same beliefs they hade under the Prophets and remained together instead of disbanding the Covenant and returning to their homeworlds.

If I’m wrong, please refresh my memory. It would be much appreciated.

alot of the species that make up the covenant are still very protective of forerunner relics etc etc and that half probably doesnt like that humans are messing around with one of the halos and requiem, and also humans being the self destructive species that we are probably started the fighting, just like in Glasslands
