Covenant/ Forerunner campaign

I dont know if this has already been suggested, but I think it would be very fun and add a new aspect to the Halo franchise. When ever you beat a campaign, do you think “What would it be like if the bad guys stopped me here and took this base.” What if you could play as the Covenant or Forerunner, and try to STOP Master Cheif from completing his mission. For example: On Halo 3, what if you could play as the Covenant or the Flood and your mission would be to stop Master Cheif and Cortana and actually launch the Halo rings.

I think they should add campaigns like that.

That would be a bit strange and wouldn’t go right with the franchise. But yeah, it should work as a non-canon-joke campaing. The best they could do, it would be liek in Halo 2. Where you play with some Forerunner and Elite agaisn’t other kind of enimies.

No. Just simply no.

Halo is a linear campaign, not a ‘‘mass effect choose a different ending one’’.

Me and my friend have thought about something like that before just to imagine what it must look like for a grunt or something. I think it would be cool if you could play as something for the covenant to stop Master Chief, you could also have the IWHBYD Skull on and listen to the conversations that they say. Maybe it could be unlocked for you after completing campaign on legendary or something.

And it’s called the reclaimer trilogy as well…

No but he’s not saying having a multiple choice campaign. Just a ‘alternate version’ where you see a different perspective. Personally I think it would be really cool to have a Halo game, or better yet a DLC campaign that was solely you playing as the covenant against the UNSC (and not the Masterchief so it wouldn’t affect canon).

But I think an alternative ending thing would just be confusing to people and wouldn’t work canonically obviously.

I don’t think this is necessary. We already have Spartan Ops.

Halo 4’s campaign should be the Chief, the whole Chief, and nothing but the Chief.

But having something like this as a DLC would be alright I guess.
