That would make halo 5 really fun

If this happens… Shut up and take my money!!!
Yes maybe as long as its a game devoted for that and it’s done right. Not just a master chief in Elite form, I want a unique story and maybe not about the whole galaxy on brink of destruction bit.
Other than that I’m for it!
Yes. The Covie aspects of Halo 2 added intricacy, depth, and perspective to the story. I don’t like this “epic”, one-sided, Master Chief-centric, patriotic UNSC vs the universe adventure rubbish that’s been the style of the most recent Halo games. We need more political intrigue and characters! More diverse locations!
We definitely need to return to the Covenant because you can’t just ignore that many alien species because “the Covenant aren’t the core focus of the games anymore” because that’s just silly. We need to revert to Halo 2-style theatrical storytelling with some ODST individual character personality. We also need to continue where Halo 2 left off in regard to the Arbiter and the “good” Elites. Halo 4’s story felt horribly shallow.
I would like this to replace Spartan Ops. However unlike Halo 2, which switched between Master Chief and the Arbiter over the course of the game, it should behave more like Sonic Adventure 2, where you choose the campaign you want to play, and pick up wherever you left off in that Campaign.
if they cant make it fit in the story of this game i’d be all for giving it its own game. like going back and doing the covenant civil war or the elite civil war with the arbiter. it was one the best parts of halo 2’s campaign it’d be nice for it to return in some form. i also read an idea from someone on here about a campaign for the didact including his and the forerunners backstory that would help people who didnt read the books understand what led to him being the antagonist in halo 4.
lol

It could behave like Spartan Ops and have little to no actual connection to the main plot. While Master Chief is fighting the Didact/Flood, the Arbiter could be working with the Infinity to take down Jul. Kind of continuing the Spartan Ops story, but from the perspective of the Elites. Either that, or bring Elties back entirely as playable models, and allow Elite allies to be playable in Spartan Ops season 2.
Yes I would like that a lot. Maybe they could make a side game about it because it wouldn’t fit with halo 5 that well
If they made one it would be Halo 4 CE (Covenant Elite) - funny right?
Yeah… um… No.
There is not any possible way for this to fit in the storyline, and the Covenant aren’t the main focus anymore.

They still could do one just as a separate game.

For once we agree!
I don’t care if it was silly space opera. It was nice having some variance in Elite dialogue (they could be energetic or calm).
These days, Elites are lacking variety. The Elite ranks are practically clones. Their dialogue is repetitive as hell. There’s no real distinction besides armor aesthetics and weapons.

There are plenty of ways. The Arbiter is still an ally to the UNSC, and would oppose both the Storm and the Prometheans. And the Covenant will ALWAYS be in the spotlight. If they weren’t, the Storm wouldn’t have been present the entire Halo 4 Campaign. And Jul 'Mdama wouldn’t be the main antagonist of Spartan Ops.
In the original trilogy, the primary focus was on the Flood, not the Covenant. In fact ODST and Reach are the only two games that actually had the Covenant as the main threat. Yet Elites were primarily around in Halo 2 and 3, not ODST and Reach.
I get really tired of all these excuses not to bring Elites back. They are all really poor excuses.

LOL yes it was a bit funny and 343i really -Yoinked!- over the Sangheili community with Halo 4 thinking acceptable losses. ODST had a a good reason why elites weren’t playable in the game. Reach at least tried to have elites without people who can’t shoot saying their body changes the gameplay. To those people…-Yoink- you! You are playing a futuristic alien killing game…you knew what you signed up for. But if they made Halo Sangheili OPS or a better name
Halo:Blood of Our Fathers
with that i might as well put…
"All who walk the blessed path will find salvation, even in death.
Out of darkness, these blades will light our way.
Glory and honor guide our acension.
On the blood of our fathers, on the blood of our sons.
The true devotee honors our name with actions, not words.
Victory is secured not from the throne, but from the frontlines.
With this sacrament of blood we journey into the divine beyond."
well the results are in, there should be a covenant campaign.
As long as we don’t play as Arbiter’s faction, I want to be a bad Elite who stays bad and kills Humans
As long as the story good and unique. Then yes
> As long as we don’t play as Arbiter’s faction, I want to be a bad Elite who stays bad and kills Humans
Yeah let’s go kill some humans, that sounds like a plan!
(I don’t understand why you never got to do that in Halo 2 when playing as the Arbiter, that drove me insane)

Because the Halo fanbase would of acted negatively, they already did to the idea of playing as someone other than Chief
