Cov Campaign

Who thinks they should make a cov campagin for halo 4 after you beat the human campaign

No, just… No

Nope.
Just Nope.
Would be cool, but they should focus all their energy on the heap of game modes we already have, not to mention that using time on a Covie campaign would take way from Chief and Cortana’s story.
Maybe some terminals about what’s happening in the Covenant since 2552, side stories, and info on the new enemy couchDidactcough would do.

Ok Then it probly would confuse the story as well

Yes

I swear the ideas on this forum get worse and worse.

No, it wouldn’t even work.

It could come around in halo 5 with the arbiter once again teaming up with the chief. You could have a two pronged campaign: you could choose to play the game from the arbiters perspective or the chiefs.

Everyone I’ve spoken to says its a good idea, you know, have missions from the eyes of the Arbiter.

Yet when I come here everyone says its a bad idea… and then they don’t care about the Elites not being in MP… something tells me this community is where all the spartan extremists have been hiding for the last few years.

I wish they did that with Halo 2 as opposed to the constant role switching throughout the campaign. But I’d rather they just focus on the Chief in Halo 4 and put their resources into making this the greatest campaign yet.

Then afterwards we can play the grasses story.

The rise and fall of master leaf. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think anyone here is a Covy hater, but an entirely separate campaign as a member of the Covenant would, imo, be difficult to achieve in terms of narrative.

As for elites in multiplayer, I’m really indifferent to the “issue”. Elites weren’t playable in CE and no one complained. They weren’t playable in most of Reach for balance reasons, and I’d hate to see them shrunk down ala Halo 2 or 3 just so our once-proud 8-foot-tall, plasma wielding adversaries could use the same hitbox as Spartans.

Sure, no one complained, thats because there were already mods to let you play as an elite.

And they were playable in Reach, or atleast, in some gamemodes. But I don’t understand how the biggest thread on these forums is about elites in halo 4 MP, and yet they took them out anyways, they’ve been in every halo game (technically) and they remove them for some piece of small, insignificant piece of lore. And what does this community do? they bash the people on that thread for any reason they can think of.

But I will agree that having a whole other campaign would be too much, but 2 or 3 missions in the campaign would be easy to do (especially considering SO).

Why bother. They technically aren’t even a threat anymore.

I think it would be rather easy to achieve. Alot of Elite’s are going through a crisis of faith, conscience and are searching for a place in this new beginning. I’m sure not all Elite’s are happy to see the Chief but what if you played as Usze ‘Taham? he’s described as being human friendly and opposed to orthodox Covenant religion. Not to mention serving alongside the Chief in Halo 3. Potential huge character growth here.

Idk, I’m fine with the removal of elites, partly because I think that it may be only a matter of time until they return as playable, and non feral-looking. I’m imagining a moment in Halo 4 or 5, where Chief will encounter the noble-looking elites we all know and love, pursuing an alliance with them.

Yeah they aren’t even a threat anymore, its not like they were the reason Chief’s ship was in flames hurtling towards a godforsaken planet.
